Oxycodone and hydrocodone

^^ don't assume your friend didn't give you enough to kill you...a good solid dose for him to get him high may be enough to kill someone else. An opiate naive person can get rocked from 10 mg oxycodone, while a seasoned user may take up to 500 mg (or more) and be fine. Tolerance is a crazy thing, as I'm sure you know.

A quick rule of thumb that I usually go by is that hydrocodone is about 2/3 as strong as oxycodone. So 20 mg oxy = 30 mg hydro. In my opinion, oxycodone gives a much superior euphoria than hydrocodone...I know the two drugs are very similar, but I've never been a fan of hydrocodone, it makes me feel a little anxious sometimes.

^yes, i know tolerance and just for the record, he and i hadnt done opiates at the time to get high but knew his stuff, he had just been prescribed them, so he knew. But yeah i know not too now.

and yeah first time for me was 10mg of oxy and was very good:)

Fuck no, you could never place Oxycodone in the same category as Codeine, I'd say Hydrocodone is closer to Codeine. Hydrocodone is shit compared to Oxycodone. I prefer Oxycodone over oral Morphine. I'd take it over MSContin ANY TIME. Only because its not safe to shoot them up. I'd never put that shit in my arms. Hydrocodone is equivalent in potency to Morphine. Oxycodone is more (20mg = 30mg). Unless I had a syringe I'd prefer it to Dilaudid also...but like I said, unless I had a syringe. Oxycodone would be in the category as its metabolite Oxymorphone. Nothing near in potency though.

I didn't mean oxycodone was more like codeine, I stated a fact which is that oxycodone is in the 'codeine family' of opiates. Hence why it is a 'codone. Hydrocodone is in the same family aswell, but it's more similar to oxycodone then it is to codeine. The codeine family of drugs are typically more orally active than the morphine family of drugs. Codeine is actually most closely related to morphine and heroin. As both heroin and codeine are morphine prodrugs (though codeine has several active metabolites besides morphine, aswell). Refer to this post I made, it's very informative.

Oxycodone is a good opiate orally. I would choose it orally over many other opiates aswell (though I prefer hydrocodone's buzz to oxy's, despite the fact that oxy is slightly more potent). But IV wise, heroin/morphine are king.
