Hope I get this right as it's my first post.

swim has severe pancreatitis and has been taking oramorph. However, swim has an addictive personality and soon became very fond of the feeling it gave him and took double what he was supposed to for a long time until his doctor found out and cut him off. However, because swim has legit pain his doctor has prescribed him oxy (apparently thinking swim wouldn't abuse it).

Swim has (daily): 2x 30mg oxycontin (sustained release, round hard pills) and 4x 10mg oxycodone (instant release, powder in a capsule).
Swim also has regular access to 100x 30mg codeine phosphate (without paracetamol) and has been taking 120mg up to 4 times a day for a year.

Swim was previous taking 240mg morphine sulphate a day - plus codeine - for 6 months and has a pretty high tolerance for opiates.

Due to opiate tolerance and over-cautious doctor, the total amount of oxy (100mg/day) is pretty low so swim is looking to get the most he can out of it.

Would thoroughly chewing the oxycontins destroy the time release?
And would the instant release oxycodone have a bigger hit if swim breaks open the capsules and just ingests the powder? If so, would swallowing or snorting work best?

Also, swim always chews his codeine phosphate. Is there any point doing so or is he wasting his time?

If you need this for pain maybe you should reconsider abusing it all. If they are OP then they are pretty much abuse proof (you can break it into smaller pieces but it wont make a huge difference. Chewing IR pills is pretty much pointless.

Really though, your doctor is going to cut you off again if you continue to abuse alot, and 100mg of oxycodone a day is far from pretty low. thats enough to kill non tolerant users.

The pain is almost non-existent now, swim could do without the pills, really.
Apart from withdrawals.

Doctor would only cut me off if I kept filling in repeat scripts for more, but I see him once a week for a 1 week supply now.

The pills have OC on them, not OP.

Wow, I hadn't realized 100mg was a lot. How much would that be in morphine equivalent?

chew, eat, swallow, take it orally, trust me.

Some users like the rush of snorting but you conserve way more by just eating it. And 100 mg oral oxycodone is equal to a shitload of oral morphine, don't know the exact.

I think oxy is twice as strong as morphine...but has more than twice the bioavailablity too...so in reality is it 4 times more?

Chew it is, thanks :)

As has been discussed 9000 times here and on other sites, the high BA of oxy orally makes it the best bet in terms of an ROA.

Chewing isn't going to make much of a difference either, aside from making it come on a little faster.

Use the search engine for more info on this.. it's been talked about to death. Also, please read the BLUA. We don't use SWIM here.

I've seen countless posts on here using swim, though??
Sorry, what should I stay instead (obviously avoiding self-incrimination is important).

I'm newish to all this. Sorry is this type of question has been done over and over. I'll look before I ask in future.

Using SWIM doesn't protect you legally. That is a myth. Just use "I" like everyone else does. Look at the threads just on the first page of OD, how many do you see using SWIM? :\ Other sites use it all the time but it's pointless.

Ah well, I have a prescription for everything I take so I guess I'm not doing anything illegal anyway ;)

I wish I had your doctor.

Anyway mate my only suggestion is not use them daily. Just because your doctor prescribed them doesn't mean you won't be walking the long and painful road of opiate addiction.

Peace

Cheers but a little too late. I almost died of a severe case of acute pancreatitis last Nov and spent 2 months in hospital being pumped full of crazy amounts of IV morphine. According to the specialists, the pain of a severe acute pancreatic attack like I had is literally more painful than childbirth so it was A LOT of morphine. I ran out of the morphine I was given to take home 2 days before I got to my GP to have it prescribed properly and went through panic attacks, vomiting, cold sweats etc.

I may try and take as little as possible and take a more recreational dose a couple times a week...

oral or intrarectal use (plugging) are safest ROAs, and they are both have 75-90% BA . oral and plugging hae the most benefits, with litte costs. IV use till blows them out of the water thugh, but IV pills isnt for the feint of heart.

Since you have OC tabs, I am guessing you live in Europe. I would take off the coating, crush them into a fine powder and then put the powder into empty capsules in various doses. After that just take it orally with an empty stomach at best. Tada! You've just turned them into instant release oxy lile the ones you have. You could also give snorting a try by breaking open your IR caps.

do you live in europe?

just wondering since u got oc oxycontins and had previously gotten oramorph

i would just chew up the oc. i think sniffing them, or any pills for that matter, is a waste of time and unnecessary. it never made a damn difference for me. i have no idea what your tolerance is like but a good place to start would be 15 mg. that's kinda low but oxy also feels a lot different than morphine... i used to love dosing oxy kinda low and redosing low every 3 - 4 hours or so, but i also never liked to be completely out of it or get sick. that's my experience at least. be careful man

I live in the UK.
I've been chewing them and it seems to work. My whole body feels warm and I'm kinda sleepy. Is that normal?
