Oxy and maintaining Health

So I have been addicted to oxycodone 30's off and on for the past couple of years. I have been taking very regularly for the past 6 months though. Last week I was diagnosed with Pnemonia and I am still recovering with antibiotics. I of course am continuing to take the oxy during my recovery from pnemonia bc i am deathly afraid of going into withdrawal in my weakened state.

My question is how can I still continue to take the oxy and maintain a healthy lifestyle? I am always getting sick from a weakened immune system and this last scare of pnemonia has me really worried. And oh yea, im only 29 yrs old.

Are there a list of vitamins that I could take? has anybody else been in this situation?

Thanks so much!

while taking oxy "appropriately", as in "as a strict doctor would advise"? yeah, absolutely. if you're able to strictly adhere to your dosages.
if you're abusing them? don't pretend you're honestly asking whether you can be healthy and a junkie at the same time lol.

/am 29 too, and was rx'd 30's for over 2yrs (165 a month / 5.5/day; and methadone and temazepam and valium all from same place all at same time as my regular script. This all ended when my dr was raided, and i had to decide whether to go to another for the same shit <i'm in the epi-center of blues, tampa bay FL>, or get away from it; i chose the latter). 100% clean for about a year and half (have used several times<LITERALLY>, but these were not "relapses" of any sort, they were simply times i used a single dose, had no cravings and didn't touch or even think of it after the fact. After being off long enough, and being completely outta "that mindset", there's surprisingly low risk in single-dose sessions. That said, i found these single dose sessions quite anticlimactic, like i'd prefer a psychedelic to oxy. Part of what makes oxy so boss when you're an addict is that you're constantly coming outta cravings/wd's and into a high. Being completely, long-term clean, and taking a single dose, only brings you from baseline to a high - not nearly as great, subjectively, as it was when using regularly.

//no, there are no specific vitamins that are of much relevance, it's the overall lifestyle differences - oxy isn't inherently an "unhealthy" chemical; abusing anything and being up/down all the time is inherently unhealthy.

Well, to be healthy i would recommend regular exercise, a good diet, and of course taking a multivatamin is a good idea to fill in the gaps that your diet doesnt cover. Now as far as being addicted and staying healthy that just doesnt make sense. If your addicted than your not healthy but i guess if you had a good supply and can avoid wd's and make healthy choices than your probably better off than 80% of americans who dont get off their ass to exercise.

Yes, the healthier you are the stronger your immune system, not sure if an oxy addiction weakens immune system.

As long as you're not smoking or snorting the 30's, your health should not be threatened. Keep using your antibiotics and oxys as prescribed. Another thing, keep yourself hydrated and eat fruits to keep you regular.

bmxxx, the Florida pain clinics rocked my world but ultimately I had to pay the price. <3

ya it was insane..ugh. i guess things are getting tighter, like they have been for years. I remember feeling it was getting expensive at the pharmacy when i stopped and guess now it seems more on par with national levels (insofar as price; 'dopeheads per capita', still through the roof. LOL)
/and pretty sure your miscpelling youre towns name their ;)

The oxy can slow or even stop your breathing reflex, it also has anti-cough proprieties, all of which are not desirable for someone with pneumonia.
Also, it may mask important pains and make you feel better, but might provide a wrong picture of your status to the doctors.
You say you're addict, I don't care if its from abuse or prescription, I am not your doctor, but I am from the health area, and if I were to give you
an advice, it was going to be 'use the least ammount possible, just to avoid WDs', you need to breathe and cough in order not to die out of lung edema.
This is very serious, liquid builds up, you breathe less, it evaporates less, you'll never cough, when you should be doing that and cleaning that shit off you.
I know how it hurts bad, but this would be my best advice. Just take the edge off, maybe consider a taper off... Get betters man.

just get in the mindset of Im not going to take the oxy that day until I get my workout in. Use it as motivation once you actually get to the gym. If you can get into a routine of going to the gym first, eating right, then at night taking it you can do it quite easily. It's when you start piffin a whole thirty at 10:30 in the morning that you get lazy and say "ah ill just skip today". Dont do that
