I am lookin for a potent opiod that I can substitute for my oxycodone 15 mg pills. The oxy works fine, however I would like to give some alternative opiates a shot just for comparison sakes. At this point I have tried hydro, ultram, and oxy. Hydro sucks balls and I really dont feel a thing even at large doses, I cant really remember the feeling from ultram but I dont recall it being that powerful. I know there are a lot of options out there and I am looking at Demerol, oxymorphone (Diladid), hydromorphone (Opana), fent, and the gold standard - morphine. So what is a good choice? I suffer from chronic pancreatitis so I am on pain management therapy but I have no doubt my doc would be willing to change things up....

I don't think you should try and fix what ain't broke.

Just so you know you got it messed up, oxymorphone is opana, not dilaudid. Dilaudid is hydromorphone.

All three of those are great medicines, I don't think demerol is good for CHRONIC pain. Fentanyl is not good to replace instant release oxy especially since it's so much more potent than 15mg oxycodone.

15mg is a very low dose of oxy, all these other meds you named are more potent than oxy. Hydromorphone is gunna be your best bet though, they make 2mg 4mg and 8mg pills for instant release
