Outdated term?

You don't even have the same currency as me. I'm talking the New England region of the USA and US Dollars.

well, i'm in the state of Maryland where we use US dollars, too, and when somebody tells me $25-$30/g i'm like "fuck you, bruh" and i go with MY connect.

maybe you guys have some crucial chronic up there in New England, but i've had buddies come back from being stationed in Cali saying they miss the good ol' maryland middies.

I'd never heard half the terms up there, ha... Ever heard "lid" for an oz?

yezzir, but that's the older heads' terminology. like 35-50 year olds. (around my area, i mean... not trying to call anybody on here old or anything)

[edit: and they normally use their fingers to weigh an ounce. it's a hell of a time trying to get them to use a digi.]

ha, yeah... the guy i heard use that was in his 50s. All I usually run across is your standard eigth, quarter, etc. sometimes i hear zone or zip for an oz. Elbow is an odd term i've heard for 4 oz.

ounces are O's, zones, zips, or just a straight up "lemme get an ounce."

i know 4 ounces as a QP or a quap (pronounced "kwop"). i've never heard of an elbow before, though.

half a pound is just a "half P."

a whole pound is either a P, LB, or a brick.

dime-bag, ten-sak for a ten dollar bag (usually enough for skinny swisher of dank)
gram bag is always 15$
eighth (1/8 OZ) is 45-50sak
nickel bag or 5 sak is like the smallest denomination which is like .3 or .4 of dank

you could always just say how much money you have followed by sake and let the dealer do the math...like "yo mang hit me up with a 60 sak, how much of that bud am i getting for that"

quarter-1/4 ounce
half- 1/2 ounce
Zip, OZ, Oscar- ounce
Quap- quarter pound
half p- 1/2 pound
LB, stack - pound

And that's how the game goes...

Some outdated terms that I'd never heard of that an older pothead ex alcoholic/drug addict I used to be friends with told me about measurement terms from the mid-late 70s/early 80s were that pot was sometimes measured in what was called a Lid and in bags like a 3 finger bag, and that they called an Ounce a Z. He also said how he'd measure as much as an oz with his fingers and not a scale, and how this is what people used to do? Also that pot from back then was sometimes really good but the stuff today blows all of it away.

I didn't understand it either? I'm not sure why people didn't just call stuff like an 8th, quarter, etc. instead of making up weird terms?

I've heard people call some measurement a dub/dub sack whatever that is?

maaaan i use that term buddha, its awesome. as for elbow.. i always thought an elbow was a pound cause.."lb" stands for pound and "el".."be"... sort of sounds like el-bow

ya i dont know a lot of people around here still say dime.

Also Uzi cut referring to an 8th is something only people around here use.

I think "dub" has replaced "dime" for the most part...at least in my area. When I first started smoking (10years ago) dimes were common, then again i was younger and couldn't afford good weed/large amounts.

but nowadays, at least in my area, no dealer will even pick up their phone for less than a dub. someone might break you off a $5-10 bag if you are a regular/friend.

however the "dime" is still alive and well in the ghettos of the northeast US usually referring to a 10 spot of heroin or crack, but also "dime bags of dat sticky icky fire yo."

I live in northern california, and dimes are here for sure.

It's usually like .8-ish for $10, of some good bud. Grams for $15 for sure, for $20 I get like 1.8, and I get $40 eighths...

and this is all good bud we're talking about, like club grade shit.

IDK where the fuck you guys live that you're getting charged $30 a gram, but fuck man that's some bullshit.

where i live the word "dub" def did not replace a twenty sack. im looking at dro standards of course. round here if someone needs a dub they need 1/8 oz of some good shit for 60 dollars. so a dub is a sixty sack

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dub+sack

1. dub sack

1. Twenty dollars of a drug in a baggie, usually marijuana.

2. dub sack

A dub sack is a bag of trees that is about 2 grams. One gram of good weed goes for $10 up in Ma, so you do the math.

3. dub sack

20 dollars worth of marijuana. depends largely on the quality. very low quality mexican schwag can be 3 grams for 20 dollars. high quality stuff on the street is generally 20 dollars per gram. at 275 dollars an ounce, which is about standard, it comes out to a little under 10 dollars a gram. Most dealers are willing to sell a gram for 15 dollars, or about a gram and a half for 20. It depends a lot on the dealer. Many street dealers here in berkeley will actually sell 3/4 of a gram for 20 dollars (see "custie").

i have also heard the phrase "dub for 15", meaning selling what would usually be 20 dollars of marijuana for 15 dollars.

4. dub sack

A $20 bag of weed, here in MI you can get about 3.5+ grams for $20 aka an 1/8th

5. dub sack

A $20 sack usually about 2 grams (Atleast here in Humboldt County, thats how it is)

7. dub sack

A $20 bag of weed. 14 grams is a lot to get for $20. In Australian currency for $20 you get 2 grams, but translated into U.S dollar's that would be $40 Australian.(ie. 4 grams for $20US).

...

A dub sack is pretty universally a $20 bag. Just like 'dubs' are 20" rims.

it may be that around everywhere but it really is different around here. this isnt just me and my friends either my "friend" deals alot of weed and people call him for a "dub" all the time and they mean a sixty of dro.

i think this happened because i live in a rather rich community next to a poor one. in the poorer community they smoke schwa and a dub is an eight of some shitty. now the richer people want the same thing aka a "dub" but they want it of good bud

see, that kind of confusion is why i just like to say "lemme get a 20-bag."

it can get confusing and i usually just check in weight terms with the people. ah i love the stupid ones though

ME: oh whatup need some bud?
JOHNY: ya i got thirty
ME: (laughing at myself for trying) aight hows a gram sound?
JOHNY: man thanks your always hooking me up and shit ill be there in ten
ME: (laughing my ass off with my friends) aight see you then

if there happy then im happy ya dig

...no price discussion, 'kay?

I still buy dimes if I'm broke, but that's about it. Nobody wants to go under dubs these days, though.
