Outdated term?

i haven't asked for a dime in a decade lol. that's not even 2 good joints :(

Ive always know 'dime' as to mean however much bud i can get for 10$. so yes, i do feel this term is outdated because 10$ of bud where i am is only about .5g-.8g so who the fuck would bother with it? If your going to buy 10$ worth of weed why not just drop another 10 and get a dub sack? you can barley roll a good joint with 10$ worth of weed.

this of course is all with medical quality/nor cal stuff, if your buying/selling shwagg for 5$ a gram then the term 'dime' is probably more relevant to you ( and if it is then you need to start getting better shit mang)

dimebag darrel, yo.

I still here it, it's just not that common for someone to want $10 worth of weed and a lot of dealers don't bag em out that small.
and we call 'em eighths or slices out here.

A dime bag is a gram around here. But you can only get one if your good friends with the dealer. I'd rather spend 20 and get 2 grams of decent bud.

It's not like there's a new term for dime(not that I know),but I never hear that, I'm not sure people sell dime bags really anymore where I live, theres been times where I've only had 10$ left so I would ask for a dime or usually just a gram and i usually just get the bud in my hand not even in a bag when its that much. Smallest dealers sell here mostly are 8ths(slice) or rarely a 20 bag or 30 bag(30 bag is more or less than an 8th, depends on quality). But back to the dime thing, if a friend at school at lunch has 10 bucks he wont really say i gotta get a dime bag, more like lets go find someone around to sell us a gram.

Dime means $10 worth, which is usually just buying two blunts (unless its better grade than swag and the dime = a blunt).

We say "blunt" when buying $5 worth of weed, which is usually .5g

Hah thanks :D

Yeah I feel like a poor person buying a dime. But it's always good to have a little bowl ready to go when you need it and oh yeah I am a poor person I forgot.

Haha, that brief anxiety passed shortly after that post.

Like you know how sometimes a thought just strikes you like, "Oh my god, have I been doing this wrong my entire life and never realized it?" Like drinking from a bubbler(drinking fountain) for example.

Yeah.

Its used around SoFla among kids who can't really afford good weed. Some teenagers just can't spend the money for crippy, so they get nickle and dime bags of bad shit.

Hate to burst your bubble but .5 is like an average little joint, aint no blunt.:p

here a dime is either half an eight or one gram, and a nick is half of that, anybody who buys by the dime or nick is an idiot though, at least with the low grade shit pervading most of wisconsin

i never hear it in Oz. Here we call a small bag, wait for it... a baggie! 8)

... or at least we used to (gulp).

it's not outdated, some people just don't use it because it can mean so many different things to different people.

i normally just go by 10-bag, 10-spot, or "a lil 10 joint" when i'm looking for personal. if i want a dub, i just substitute the number 20 in for where all those 10's are.

Nowadays when grams sell for $20 and $30, you can't find someone willing to sell you $10 worth of weed.

wow where is weed that expensive? 20-30 a gram?! i dont think i would have started smokin weed if it was 25 bucks a gram, im not being a dicksizer cockhead at all but its just like a natural wonder.. the price comparison of area to area. maybe its because i live in b.c, canada where weed laws are more relaxed so theres alot more growers and alot more weed goes around or something, but its cheap

You don't even have the same currency as me. I'm talking the New England region of the USA and US Dollars. An eighth of an ounce of properly cured NYC Diesel easily sells for $75 and $80 an 8th. At $500/oz the lowest level dealers can't afford to sell it at anything less than $75.
