I don't get this, but then I'm not one of the surviving members of the Beatles and I wasn't one of the primary cast members of Friends. It must be difficult for you guys to be recognized wherever you go. My face is my anonymous mask.

Meanwhile, in Australia...

Wanting to hide away? Everybody gets like it from time to time. I can see why it is attractive but it doesnt mean its beneficial to you or anybody else. Its usually behaviour more closely matched with children hiding behind the protection of their parents, or a device/item that pacifies them, like a blanket that smells nice or a teddy etc. We arent seperate to our inner child but how we call upon it makes the difference between regression to a juvenile state, and utilizing the benefits of being in that space for positive reasons.

Our society is full of promotion of juvenile states of mind. We are regressing almost to a childlike state of mind. In the process we are forgetting/repressing how to deal with issues all around us and its for that reason I choose to be naked and vulnerable and just be the fullest potential of my own being. You run the risks of doing everyday but risks exist everywhere and for me it is either still be a healthy human being, or be regressing/repressing that human condition. And then the problems only get worse, not better.

Adults acting like children doesnt make our adult world better. Its hard to be an adult in this world but thats life. I feel the psychological/mental/emotional aspects of wearing a mask attempt to simply push the truth away; that life is hard and you cant simply wear something to make it go away. We are not children anymore and our comforting blanket doesnt work like it used to do. Thats called growing up.

Much of our behaviour reflects on that process and how we learned to navigate the world and so when a device comes along we can attach ourselves to that negates the reality of our lives and our own responsibilities therein, I can sure see the allure of wanting to keep that device/item around when things get difficult or when I just feel like I dont want anyone to see me, and I want to feel safe and protected from the world and how messed up it can be.

Masks don't offer me the illusion of anonymity or security. They make my beard itchy. They are a pain the ass. I stopped wearing them in shops about three weeks ago. Yesterday was the first time a staff member said anything about it. Actually, he didn't say anything. He just looked at me and pointed to his mask.

The rules don't make any fucking sense. There are zero cases in Victoria but we still have to wear masks? Also, the rules are inconsistent. Went to a packed venue in the city today. There was a show around lunchtime. It was packed. Everybody was sitting shoulder to shoulder. Nobody was wearing a mask. Earlier in the week I went to the cinema. Same thing. The movie was sold out. Nobody wearing a mask... but you have to wear a mask when paying for petrol in an empty petrol station even though they installed screens between staff and customers?

It's fucking stupid.

After the show today, they didn't let us in to the gift shop (even though we were wearing masks) because they were already at capacity with six people in the shop. There were two staff members at the gift shop telling people they couldn't enter. What the fuck?

If there was actually any virus within 1000 km, I wouldn't care so much... but this is just stupid. I'm so fucking sick of all this bullshit. The online business I spent years building up is dead. I still can't run it because of nonsensical restrictions in a city with no traces of a relatively harmless virus. Fuck this. I'm going to go get stoned and drunk.

It occurs to me we're starting to see the same thing with COVID masks that we see with Muslim women who cover their faces. People are starting to say, "I like my mask." This is more disturbing than any threat the virus poses.

I’m actually genuinely curious what sort of demographic we might have here regarding who has or hasn’t downloaded and employed what I called from day one the “Track and trap app.”

I’ve never had nor wanted a smartphone, so I couldn’t anyway.

But the number of people, who ate total hypocrites evidently, happily going about their lives through lockdown, (which I’m not begrudging), but making out they are fully on board with, behind the Government’s genuine srategy, in support of lockdowns, vaccines, won’t question the narrative from any angle.

But they are not abiding by it, and blind to that. Telling people not wearing a mask is bad, while having house parties during the strictest lockdown.

Again I’m not begrudging that. But these people have been caught out by the Track and Trap app. They ignore it, go around it commonly, which shows they don’t really see the value in the app, need to have it, or value in general policy despite reciprocating the narrative.

I do know such people and this is reported from direct observation.

The savvier would likely not download the app in the first place if they don’t absolutely believe in and respect the “rules” or necessity of compliance.

I do wonder how many of us here have that app installed and running?

How many have been “pinged”? Did you obey? What were your feelings, emotions, views on it motivating your actions, response and outlook.

I’m really openly curious. Be dead honest though.

i know right?

that's ok but they get upset when i wear my KKK hood to the store

Yeah I assume you're talking about Facebook, etc, right? I do not use facebook anymore or anything similar and have not for a long time. But it does really make me cringe when people worry about being microchipped with the vaccine but they use facebook on their phones. I mean even without facebook, our phones are tracking devices. I use a smartphone because it's incredibly useful and I don't really care, it's worth it to me for the utility (especially since I can turn it into a mobile hot spot and connect to work to work when my band is on the road).

But when people are all freaked out about being microchipped, I just say to them "we're already being tracked constantly, what do you think your phone is doing?"

Haha, I had this image earlier. To make sure they don’t even need to microchip everybody for 24/7 tracking purposes alone, humanity could pul together. Make sure everybody everywhere has a cell ideally smart phone.

You can see Homer Simpson sitting in the lab type office watching screens of every single 7.7? Billion sheep’s exact whereabouts.

Sweet. All in hand. Got to know where them people are at.

Then, everybody destroys their phones at once. Homer chokes on his doughnut and coffee when the entire grid light goes out at once.

So, okay, I see. In the UK it’s actually an N.H.S. App program called “Track and trace.”

It detects other app runners in say, the same building and pings everybody withinnX radius of a positive test case by Pinging them with legal duty to self isolate for 10 days.

Hence me joking calling it track and trap, and mocking the mentality of people who get themselves caught out with it, zero intention ever of actually behaving any different, who then have to leave their phones at home and not be seen too clearly on Live TV lol.

Thanks for responding, I see it’s a UK and National thing all over.

Yeah the tracking stuff with phones doesn't bother me so much. I mean there are so many people, it's not like someone is spying on me personally. It's more for big data to try to track spending and traveling habits, etc. Our phone cameras and microphones pick up what we're doing to send us targeted ads (which is creepy). In the future if we have some swarm of drones and AI keeping tabs on everyone individually, I will be very worried. Until then, it's just the state of things, not ideal but not as bad as some people fear.

Lol, we won’t need drones. We’ll just all have our own assigned Judge Dredd. 😉

A mute point though.
Smartphones were pushed on people and was social media well before people knew of the problems. Much like many things in life that end up several years later turning out to less savoury then we first believed.

People would be cajoled into being microchipped, under the guise of something benign and even beneficial. It doesnt imply people would have opted for the microchipping if they hadnt been exploited and manipulated into having it done to them. Likewise and with social media and smartphones, people wouldnt use them if it wasnt for the incessant billion dollar empires and their campaigns to herd vast amounts of people to their most preferred outcome. You dont blame the sheep though. They blame the shepherd. In this case the shepherd isnt a wholly benevolent being whose intentions is solely for your best interests. And so we are dealing with predatory forces here. You dont victim blame victims of predatory forces and then use the argument that they were victimized and so why not just continue to be victimized even further.

Lots of things have happened throughout history that the general population had very little control over, despite them thinking otherwise. It doesnt mean what has happened was justified just because it happened. It was wrong but it got through regardless. It was still wrong. We dont continue to condone that behaviour unless we have a seriously disordered and sick society that actively seeks to be helpless in the face of these challenges.

Does that mean we are a sick and disordered society then? I think so. Well, you deal with that empowering people and educating them on challenging these very real forces in their society, not simply expecting them to become passive and docile like they are mere subjects. If they accepted smartphones they will accept microchips. If you accept a forceful kiss then you will accept being raped? If you accept being mugged you will give everything away from now onwards? If you see your son getting beaten up today tomorrow you will beat your son up harder than what his bully did yesterday? Why not? It cant get any worse, surely? But when does it end using this logic? You set yourself up to be sentenced to a neverending prison term that you voluntarily chose to extend. You are your own jailor, as well as teaching the same in others.

We fix this situation with more problems and continue the vicious circle of helplessness and victimhood? I dont think thats how we make progress in society. You teach people about the issues with smartphones and then teach them about the advancing issues thereafter. Same with social media. You teach people the risks involved and how this will then lead to advancing issues in the future. We seek to avoid the advancing issues by facing the present issues, not burying our head in the sand and saying we took it up the a*s last week and so what harm will it do to us to take it again today.

Anonymity must be one of the best aspects of wearing a mask. It has been tempting to wear them for that reason.

Even more so with facial recognition cameras...our world looks more and more like a cross between 1984, Brave New World and Black Mirror.

There are still people who do not have, and do not want, a smartphone...

True but I'm talking about people I know who are up in arms about vaccine microchipping who don't seem to care about smartphone tracking. I'd prefer to not be tracked either and I respect if people choose not to use smartphones for that reason, I just personally am willing to have a little less privacy for the functionality I get from a smartphone. But for the record I am also saying the vaccine isn't microchipping us.

This is what I was talking about regarding the Track and Trap app, this clip portrays the scenario and it’s dynamics more obviously. Within 10 seconds really. Interesting points he makes too.
