My turn.
I work for a small software development company. Small as in the number of people that work there, but we have some large clients (Telstra, ANZ, ATS). We deal mostly with MS products. We do mostly databases in one form or another, but we are starting to do more web work too. I'm one of the main programmers, and I really enjoy my job. It's the sort of company that you would continue working at even if you won tattslotto. I enjoy movies and dvd's (just got chicken run last week and Matrix is the best movie ever made, sorry just had to say that) and of course music. My fav band is U2!!! They rock, and their newest album is better than Joshua Tree, so go buy it!!
When I'm not working on my computer, I'm usually playing on it. Either chatting on icq, downloading mp3's or playing some game. Fav game at the moment is Quake 3, but also enjoy a "friendly" game of HL, TFC, Starcraft or minesweeper, hehe.
Anyway, better get back to work.

My other interests include rollerblading, Photography, Netaball and hanging with my bf. I'm trying to get him to do more 'normal' stuff like going to the zoo, bushwalking and just getting out and about in this wonderful country of ours.

Hmm..
I work for a start-up internet company who have just gone international. I mostly do software system design and coding. Its long hours and takes up all my life pretty much. I also have to do a fair bit of travel back and forth to the states and europe - which kinda makes up for the hours.
Other than work my life is just going out to parties or entertaining the gf. I used to do alot of outdoors stuff, but I'm recovering from a smashed shoulder and cant do much atm...
BTW - if any really good computer nerds are looking for work, email me. I'm looking for good unix programmers who know networks well...

Really interesting thread Pillgrim

I have to admit I love finding out more about the BL'ers, but then I have always been a bit of a voyeur

My interests are many and varied. I love to read (book worm to the max), be outdoors and spend time with friends. Going to parties, learning something new everyday and watching movies are also fav.
I have vowed to be open-minded and despise stupid ignorant people. Am currently a Nurse but am planning to go back to uni next year to study something new.

sport sport sport sport i love sport.....im always kicking a ball...bowling a ball..throwing a ball..watching footy..cricket..tennis..basketball..any sport..cant get enuff..i love the team aspect..playing in a team is the greatestgetting the pats on the back for doin sumpin good...cant beat that feeling..who needs drugs?

......umm im a tradesman...work outdoors which is kinda good...dont have to look at the same 4 walls every day....good to see something new daily...keeps me motivated...as motivated as i can get for work:../...so if ever u see me out..and i start talking bout sport...run.....or u could be stuck for a long time

good topic, might add my 2 cents worth as it might be an interesting read to at least oneperson...love talking about drugs but more for an interest in how they work and what they do than how fucked they get you..
i study chemical engineering with a dbl degree in chemistry so that contributes to my drug curiosity..
love watching cricket (esp at the oval witha spliff), working on my car (currently doing up an EH holden, drinking lager with the lads, listening to Drum and bass, and reading science fiction:]...been beaching lots lately and am turing into a bit of a beach bum on my uni holidays when im not working at w00lw0rths, fuct f00d people..
shit its not untill i read over my post that i realised how much of a nerd i am:]

What a small world it is. I used to go Shafted LANs and play Quake (clan ease ring any bells?) but quit a week later when I tried my first bickie

I cant believe how much time I spent playuing that damned game. stupido! 4 years of online gaming and now i work for the isp i played on for so long. i didn't play a game all year (2000) well maybe this 15 year old 28kb arcade volleyball game - funniest shit ever.
yeah so last year was a fair bit of fun. best year yet. met a lot of ppl, deferred uni and basically started to live life for the first time. its rediculous how many helpdesk operators eat bix, must be all the stress. will probably return to uni in melbourne and continue my IT degree or transfer to a management course...

Excellent! Havent had time to read it all but isnt it interesting! You dont have to specify too much if your paranoid but yeah!
I was a bit apprehensive specifying that I run computer game events, thinking I would be ridiculed as a nerd or geek (although I embrace it now) but now I know who the other computer people are

So I can prattle on about computers!

Or other things... like sheet metal, plaster boards, or yelling at chefs!
DoC: Yes I am friends with sinister and started shafted with him. I often catch up with VG and see him quite a bit.
