TripDoc and I were talking in #OD the other night and we came up with an idea.
We were talking about how opiates are (in our eyes) the must useful, diverse drugs there are. Sure this may be a matter of opinion and arguable, but we feel that to be the absolute truth.
We then started talking about the different combinations we use, and about various other Opiate topics.
As we started talking more and more about how to get the most out of an opiate experience, I had a brainstorm.
Imagine a drug that worked in the same way as MDMA...only it floods the brain with endorphins.
Sounds delicious, huh?
So this is our new project. Sure it's not something that we'll be actually *PRODUCING*, but it IS an interesting idea to toy around with.
So post your suggestions here. How could we make this work? We need suggestions, comments, complaints, questions, possible problems, ANYTHING.
Here's what we've got so far (VERY BRIEF).
This new drug, we'll call it MER (Maximum Endorphin Release).
The first problem I had with this idea is the 'crash'. In much the same way MDMA depletes seratonin supplies, ideally, MER would delete the endorphin supplies. This means the 'comedown' would be increasingly painful...even the slightest bump or cut would send searing pain throught your nervous system.
What's the obvious cure to this?
Opiate agonists. You could drop your regular 'recreational dosage' and that would take care of the pain.
Of course this presents a huge problem of the addiction/physical dependancy on Opiates, but we're all addicts anyway, right?
So what's next?
We have to discover how long it takes your body to produce more endorphins. This would help us gauge when and what amount of opiate we would need.
What about pre-loading? Would it be possible for us to pre-load our bodies with an endorphin producing drug?
Serious risks/dangers?
And, most importantly we have to discover what, if any, chemical(s) do this job.
As I said this is in the drawing stages...so I'm giving you all a pencil...we want YOUR imput!
