OTC Sleeping aid after coke and beer

Assuming that a person has no access to opiates or benzos after a night of coke (let's say half an eightball) and drinking (lets say a 12 pack) is there an effective and safe OTC sleeping aid that one could use to get to sleep or is this just plain not a good idea? Input appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So there is no danger of an adverse reaction with the alcohol and benadryl? I can see how it would work, but benadryl tends to make me feel a bit sick even when I'm sober. Anything else that someone would suggest?

There is a TON of stuff... benadryl (or the active chemical - diphenhydramine) works wonderfully... Melotonin, Valarian and a number of other things are also reported to work good - though diphenhydramine is the one one I actually believe in...
Still, cocaine wears off damn fast and with a 12 pack in you you shouldnt need much aide falling asleep...

I strongly recomend bc powder pm.
After a few days of adderall binging, this stuff put me right to sleep.
I think thats what its called, it comes in a green box.

Diphenhydramine is perfectly safe (it isn't actually a CNS depressant so it+alcohol won't put you into respiratory depression) and as a low power sleeping aid is often stronger than benzos (it will make you feel really sleepy normally).
However, be warned it just doesn't have the stopping power of benzos or barbs. If you are still coked up or methed out benadryl will just make you feel sleepy and unable to go to sleep while enough benzos will knock you out on pretty much anything..
Melatonin will do jack. Supposedly it can help reset your sleep cycle with air travel. It is not however a sleep aid in any traditional sense. I have taken over half a bottle perfectly sober and not even felt the remotest urge to lie down.
Ohh and all the OTC sleep aids (as far as I have come across, benadryl, tylenol pm etc..) are all simply histamine_1 antagonists so it really doesn't matter which one you take. Just don't eat half the bottle. High doses of diphenhydramine can get you very agitated and having bizarre hallucinations.
Ohh kava kava is a little differnt (as is valerian root I think but I am not familiar). It actually works for me as a sleep aid but here I find I do have to take like half the bottle (like 900mg kavaketones or whatever).

Drink some nyquill or take some tylenol pm. There not going to cause you any harm. In the meantime find some valium or xanix & put them away for future use. There your best bet. The reason why otc meds are sold are because most of them don't work. It's all in your head...
