So I know that Midazolam is used in a solution for surgerys and such, but I have a few of the roche 7.5mg pills and have no desire to IV. How are the effects different if you just eat the pill? Does it take a long time to come on and is it still extremely strong? The only information I can find on midazolam refers to IV use.

Thanks,
Robomarley

Its alright when taken orally but nothing compared to IV.
You should be able to find a benzo converter to see how it compares to other more common benzos.

Although I love IV Midazolam I would not suggest going down that road as it is very addictive. I went through about 1500 15mg pills in around 3 months. This completely fucked up my life.

I am actually curious on this myself, as I have some Midazolam (Dormicum) 7.5mg tablets coming to me.
I read that the Oral B/A is roughly ~36%. So thats not very high. I also read something about sniffing The Dormicums, but I doubt that would null anymore bioavailability than with taking them
Orally. Especially since Benzo's are not meant to be sniffed, at least I have never heard of a benzo that is meant to be used intranasally.

So I am curious as to how Midazolam is taken orally as well. Any info would be appreciated.

unfortunately the oral pathway isn't very cooperative with the midazolam molecule. i would not IV this substance as this is one of the few benzos that may cause severe respiratory depression and could end your life, even by itself.

the only route i found effective was insufflation. (im not a fan of putting stuff in my corn hole, just not going to happen)

i will tell you now that it burns pretty damn bad, but it hits real fast. when i had 50 or 100 of those things to play with, they were great when i couldn't rest at night. one problem associated with his compound was the extremely short half life, thus id wake up at 3 or 4am, right back to where i was several hours ago.

be careful with this stuff if you start to abuse it properly, if that makes any sense. there is a good reason it's not in the US market. sounds like some people have found out the hard way.

O, no worries I have no desire to pop my IV cherry EVER. I just want to know the difference between it and more common benzo's such as xanax or valium when taken orally. I see you are in the frozen tundra of WI as am I.

oral route is pretty much ineffective, unless you use a lot. oh PLEASE be careful people, these are dangerous. treat it like a very strong narcotic that you have no tolerance to.
