i have been interested in opium for qwite some time now but since the seeds are almost imposible to find, the possibility of trying opium is pretty weak......
noe i have the chance to try it and i'd like a bit of info about the stuff!
does anybody here know about it more then just the fact that it's cool and you must try it and you are dreaming with your eyes open......
i'm not trying to promote the drug,
i just want some info to be a succesfull drug user......

The seeds are almost impossible to find? Have you tried your local grocery store? The little 99 cent bottle that says "Poppy Seeds"? They are the same thing. I think that they aren't the easiest thing to grow, though.

POPPYS are SOOOOOOOOOOO fucking easy to grow. check the net there are many opium cultivation sites. the flower it self requires almost no attention and there only a two step process . if you have a garden and you like opiates then you need to grow poppies.
 
i was told that the seed at the grocerie store are not worth shit
that to get some you had to go thru the net and import them from japan and shit like that....
 
The seeds in the grocery store are worth more than any "opium" you'll find on the streets. Save yourself some time, money, and lung. Buy some seeds and grow the poppies yourself.
 
PhreeX - do you have any idea about the legality of growing poppies in the US? And if you do - if it's legal to grow them, when do they become illegal - only when I harvest them? I've been curious for a while, and you seem to be the guy to ask.
 
It's legal to grow as long as they are clearly apart of a garden - so if you have a backyard with NOTHING but poppies - thats illegal, and if you "harvest" them, thats also illegal.. so if you have a garden with lots of flowers and poppies, you won't have a problem...
 
SOME seeds you find at the grcery store may be the ones you want.You want ones that are unwashed, with a bluish tinge to them.Usually the best place to find them are at Asian stores.
The way to find out for sure if they are the ones you want is to make some tea.Wash the seeds with boiling water, add some lemon juice & drink...you need at least a kg to really feel any effects.

It effects the brain in the same way that morphine does cause that';s all it really is. The most active chem in opium is morphine.
 
Just think of a dream... thats how you will feel, goto www.erowind.com to get the scientific info on opium... just prepare yourself for the time of your life... and the shit at the grocery store will fuck you up if you do enough of it... but its better getting it off the streets...

Dude you are a moron. You can't get high from the seeds. You can make a tea and do whatevea. There is one week ass trip report at erowid about this.

Why would you make tea o'whatevea if it doesnt get you high? Nobody makes poppy tea for the taste.
Many peope claim to have gotten high from seed tea. I really trust a few that make this claim and I'm confident they would have known if it was placebo. There is a small amount of alkaloids in the seeds.
An extraction on a kilo isnt difficult.
The seeds are found inside the pods which is where the goods are.
Unwashed seeds may have a good amount of alkaloids on the surface of the seeds.
 
From what I understand, the seeds you get from the spice isle at your local grocery store will NOT yeild poppies that are worth a damn.. there are a number of online sources that sell them - how did *I* get my seeds? Simple, I lurked on the poppies.org message boards, found someone that clearly knew what they were doing, sent them a very nice email asking if they would part with some for a few bucks - the person I contacted REFUSED to take money, he didn't even ask for an SASE - a week later I had a few hunred seeds that yeilded some MONSTOR poppies, dripping with latex..
So there are good people on the 'net, ya just gotta find them...
 
Porkchop- I have had first hand experience of this, I have never gotten very high from seed tea but I have definatley felt the effects, where I'm from it's common (not the US). Alot of people use them to stop from getting sick, it tastes really bad but it DOES work.

Hm, I will have to keep that in mind. That would be much easier than grinding up pods.
