Opium storage?

What are they conditions in which opium (black tar) should be stored so it can be smoked at a later date?. Any info is greatly appreciated.

wrapped in a bag or put in a vial, and stored in a cool, dry place.

I'd keep it in foil in a glass jar in a cool dry place. Always away from direct light...

Wrap it in plastic and put it in one of those amber prescription pill bottles... toss it in the freezer and it will last for a very long time!
