Opium -> Morphine base -- help

When tested for "herion", clinics look for metabotites of morphine and codeine.
Codeine will also react into diacetylcodeine and most people don't try to separate. Look at "black tar". They acetylated everything. Lazy. And dangerous.
Many feel "OD's" are a result of the more toxic diacetyalcodeine, not the herion. If you drink poppy tea and get tested, it will come up positive for herion. No one looks for opium ...
 
Umm wtf

SWIMs been adding ACS grade ammonium chloride to opium tea solution (skippin lime stage) and SWIM CANNOT get the PH to change from 6...

according to PH strips its at 6 has been at 6 since 1tbsp all the way to 8 heapin tbsp of ammonium chloride, still NO CHANGE WHATSOEVER WTF!??

SWIMs tap water hits a 9 on the PH strips, why wont SWIMs solution (made of SWIMs tap water!) raise in PH????

SHould SWIM just take off heat and let see what precipitates regardless of PH strips? SWIM has added what seems ALOT of ammonium chloride for only 50 pods worth of tea.

I reckon it's sitting on the broken bottom of a test tube, which would make it a more reasonable amount than it looks at first.
 
Uh, ammonium chloride is used as a buffer in those previous techniques. The slaked lime is acting as the base, and the ammonium chloride is used to lower the pH so that the phenolic group on the morphine becomes protonated and it comes out as the freebase.

If that was the case then why would F&B add ammonium if hes not using lime??? That wouldnt make any sense would it? Hed just get the same result SWIM got unless his starting solution is OVER PH 9 but I dont see how thats goin to happen with just O and water.

Seeing as SWIM dont want to use lime is there anything household that can be used to bring UP the PH??

To note, SWIM let it precipitate out (at PH 6), collected about 50mg of a gray-clayish material, sun dried, smoked all of it, absolutely no effect noticed. Not sure wtf SWIM smoked.. wasnt no opioid tho. Didint irritate the lungs though so couldnt have been 'that' bad whatever the fuck it was
 
The ammonium solution F&B talks about is an ammonium hydroxide solution, not an ammonium chloride solution. The two are totally different, where ammonium hydroxide acts as a pretty strong base while ammonium chloride by itself will effect pH slightly if at all.
 
So SWIM used sodium bicarb to bring up PH, acheived 9, let precipitate, collected a similar looking sludge but it dried light brown rather than gray clay, was only 10-15mg of material, was all smoked, crackled and 'popped' under heat, no effects noticed.

Fuck dat, this shit aint workin at all, perhaps that was M base but was too small to get SWIM even slightly buzzed. SWIM might as well just do O tea into butterscotch lollipops mmmm
 
So can ammonia solution be used in place of ammonium chloride? CaOH is definitely necessary if your desired product is morphine HCl
 
This thread is from the days before the no SWIM rule I see.
If you can't figure out how to do a simple acid/base extraction with your grade 11 chemistry then you shouldn't be making morphine.
