Opium Eating

I have some black tar opium and I'd love to try it (this'll be the first time I've ever taken it)...woohoo!
I'd smoke it but I just had oral surgery and don't want to chance an infection...anyway, how I can cook it into something. I have 3 grams to play with...any idea as to the dosage I should take?
I'm jonsin' over here!

If what you have is really black tar opium, and not one of the impostors, and its not just a chunk of black tar heroin, then you can make opium tea.

However, tea will be the end of your stash. I suggest you wait a bit, and smoke it. The smoke is truly beautiful and wonderful, and beats the fucking hell out of pot smoke. The alkaloids contained in opium are water soluble, making bong hits the least effective, and a pipe the most effective in terms of delivery. But, a bong hit of opium will certainly fuck you up.

Morphine isn't very effective orally, it works but you have to eat assloads of it. It's way more economical to smoke. Same goes for heroin, which is why people don't go eating heroin.
The reason hydrocodone and oxycodone are prescribed so much more often than morphine is for this very reason, they are much more effective orally.

what a simple solution.
if you REFUSE to smoke your o (although an infection is not that likely...opium wouldn't infect a thing, not even if it wanted to

).....i will provide you with thy antique remedie to those in neede:
procure everlclear (180-proof liquor) or any liquor (clear is best) of an extremly high alcohol %
take one gram of your opium and drop it in about 2.5 shots of your solvent (liquor). stir it around. you will be surprised to notice the majority of your opium dissolving into the mix. ignore any undissolved opium. this loss is negligle and will be consumed later.
once it is thorougly dissolved you may begin sipping. i would not advise chugging the entire thing at once (because as you are aware, most opium contains ~10% morphine, and i don't know if you'd want 10mg of morphine at once)
For a more intence makeshift laudanum bath, dissolve more of your opium into more alcohol. The opium amount increases in larger proportion to the amount of liquor. Therefore, the potency can be amplified!

I hope laudanum can creat another satisfied customer.
Remember, when using opiates (taken in methods other than smoking) be careful to find a dose that works for you. A little research into your own body weight/tolerance is never a bad idea. merry painkilling!
