opium and zanax?

Hey. I was just wondering..my first two years I was at school on the east coast and I heard about and smoked a lot of opium. I havent seen too many discussions on opium and I havent heard about it at all in los angeles. Is opium just an east coast thing or what? Also my friend keeps talking about doing zanax and I dont hear about that much here. Any of heard about them much here?
 
Yeah, I've heard of them, just as most of this board has. I don't really know what your question is though?
Maybe you should check out these links...opium and opiate vault and erowid and then the Xanax FAQ at rxlist and this is the alprazolam (xanax) vault at erowid, but it wasn't working earlier, but check it out later...I don't know why, but I guess I was feeling like being helpful before someone said, "go to erowid or rxlist." Once you think of a specific question I think you'll get some better/more help.
As far as your question goes on location having to do with opium.....I haven't been on the west coast, but it's around here in the midwest (or chicagoland area at least). I don't think people see it or buy it a lot because of how often fake shit goes around. But I'd have to imagine if you're in a large city you can find it if you look hard enough.

Unless your friend or you grew it you were prolly smoking incense or lettuce opium. Why the hell would anyone wanna waste their time with a shitty drug like opium, heroin is too easy to make, worth too much money, has to high of a demand, and is worth much more pound for pound then opium so why the fuck would anyone waste their time with that shit. Also, as many flowers need to be grown for a small yield it would almost never be grown domestically, and who the fuck would smuggle 1 kg of opium vs 1 kg of heroin? Opium posts are funny cause people are getting placebo off of fake shit. It reminds me alot of when this kid i knew used to sell beat e to people and they would come back and buy more.

twigburst, i don't know if your message was directed towards me...but i said that it's around, not that i ever had tried it. I've only heard through a friend that sees it come around from the same person regularly. Anyways, I also mentioned, "I don't think people see it or buy it a lot because of how often fake shit goes around." So, anyways, I agree with you to an extent, thus my choice to do heroin instead of opium. Not that I wouldn't try it if it were around, but I think that it isn't around much due to many of the reasons you listed.

I know a kid (the person who graces me w/adderall) who is planning on making 1 million hits of acid using the Foster's beer method, swears by red rock opium, and swears that just sprinkling a little bit of "black tar opium" on his weed gets him super fuqqered. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the active alkaloids in opium get destroyed be burning (as opposed to vaporizing)? Oh, and does anyone remember the scene in "Go!" When they are selling cold tabs as X, and the little Kandy Kids buy more, b/c it was "some good shit!"

twigburst, that's cool then. By the way, I used to do some occasional reading about heroin production, but never got too much into it. Do you have any good/informative sites for the kind of information you were talking about. Usually I read up on rhodium, is there anything else out there that is similar or better even?

What is the Foster's beer method? Was it based on one of those Foster's tv commercials?
What is the truth to opium deactivating upon burning it? What's the difference between burning and vaporizing? please answer this.

Thurgood, the best tech of heroin production to date was made by the DEA. The copied it almost word for word though and its on rhodium i think. I think its still on DEA's website, but u gotta find its site cause they don't have a link for it.

Hey it's not my fault, I was really baked when I read that and wrote that comment. My reasoning though is that I live in Cali, and the cops/narcs here are insane. I understand you are joking, but in the world of today,a joke could land your ass in prision. Thats all I'm sayin'.
 
Sorry to get off topic. True opium is very rare in California. Almost all of the natural product coming from our friends in Mexico is converted straight to Heroin. There is very little money to be made on natural opium, plus it is not nearly as addictive as refined products that are derived from the plant latex. As to the other question, I have seen Xanax before, but the price is usually too high, hence, it is not popular.
 
Opium does exist in the US, it is just very hard to find because of the exceedingly low supply. In other words, your not connected enough.
 
Here in california I have seen people calling tar heroin "opium", maybe because its name is less taboo. For some reason people dont seem to like heroin here, maybe its all the dirt cheap meth. Heroin seems to only be found here in the ghettoist of ghettos, and they always try to rob me...........
 
To answer the first question, the Xanax is an Anti-anxiety pill. They are recreational to some, but to me they just act as mind erasers or sleeping pills. I usually only take them when I have had a long tweeked out weekend :)
