I have alot of opium growing......they are just about ready to be scored (another day or 2). I was wondering how easily it is to get addicted to opium and what withdrawl symptoms are like (i hear heroin withdrawl can be fatal so im kinda worried). And also anyone got any tips to avoid addiction?

I'm going to send this one over to other drugs because the guys over there will have a lot more information on this kind of thing.

conversely you could checkout erowid... they have heaps of infomation on pretty much any drug that you have heard of and most likely heaps that you haven't...

For starters, you should be careful about making incriminating statements over this message board, as there is a slim chance something could come of it.

But, in regards to avoiding addiction, one good thing to do is set up personal limits on use BEFORE you start using. I've always found that when I got opium it is such a rare occassion that I can smoke it fairly regularly until I run out and then not worry about it, with no withdrawal effects (talking about a small amount every day or every other day for a couple weeks), but I've never had a large stash of it at once, either.

Definitely be careful and have fun. Happy Easter!

Getting addicted to opium or any opiate isn't going to happen overnight.

It generally takes 2-4 weeks of regular use before you experience even mild withdrawal symptoms.

The less you use, the longer it will take for physical withdrawal to set in. If you're trying to smoke as much as you can at every sitting and push your tolerance up really high, you're going to make it much easier to get physically addicted.

But psychological addiction is also a really big factor. While right now you may be trying to set up limits for yourself or whatever. But if you've got a large supply you don't know that you won't end up deciding you really like it and don't worry about getting hooked. Or when this is done you don't know that you won't want to seek out other opiates.

It's difficult to grow enough opium to get addicted to it. However there is a big difference in physical addiction and psychological addiction. It takes at least 2-4 weeks of daily use to get physically addicted, but mentally you can start fretting and feeling like you need it after a couple of days. Depends how mentally strong you are. Some people can handle it, others can't.

Yeah, addiction doesn't happen overnight, but I think with Opium it is a little easier to get addicted. I know with Poppy tea it is common to get addicted if you just use 5 times in 2 weeks.. so be careful. One more thing, you wont die off an opiate withdrawl.

LOL

Look, first of all.... and as has been mentioned, don't come on public messageboards saying you will produce A LOT of opium in exactly two days time.

That is just asking for some major shit, the government does not take kindly to large-scale opium cultivation as I'm sure you can imagine.

Secondly, if it is indeed a shitload of opium, then you're probably gonna have a hazy few weeks. I know I have problems helping myself around large amoutns of drugs.

My advice is to limit yourself to certain days of the week or something like that, tolerance is a bitch and you don't want to have a bad comedown once you run out.
