Excuse me if I am misunderstanding you, but are you referring to paranormal psychic activity like precognition, remote viewing, etc when you say psychic? I am interested in knowing how you come this conclusion if that is case, what evidence do you have that opioids increase that kind of psychic activity (if that is what you are referring to). As far as I know psychic phenomena has not been shown to actually exist.

And to thelonegunman- Your claims are absolutely absurd! Hammilton is completely right in this case. It does not matter one bit how experienced you are with a drug, it is impossible to KNOW the mechanism based on the subjective effects you feel. They might give you some sort of clue as to their mechanism due to certain effects, but it is not possible to claim to know the mechanism based on what the drug feels like to you. The only way to deduce the mechanism of a drug is through properly designed and conducted studies on it.

In summary, you have no clue what you are talking about (not you tsukasa, I am just curious about what you were referring to). If you want to try and convince anyone that your 'theory' about the mechanism is correct you need to show us some credible source (read:not wikipedia) that supports your claims.

Psychic can refer to your psyche which really does exist, which is basically your mind, and it's ability to form thought, mental sensory information, etc. and ability to regulate and process it.

I don't give a shit. I'm not going to pay for real sources online or waste my time, just to prove something very trivial like the side mechanisms of opioids...
 
Dude, I think you misunderstood me, only the first paragraph was aimed to you. I was simply wondering if you were talking about paranormal psychic activity, or the were referring to the psyche (which I see you were). I just was looking for some clarification. I tried to make it clear that I was only looking for clarification about what kind of psychic you were referring to and attempted to be as polite nonconfrontational as possible no need to get pissed.
 
I think an important point is being over looked. Sure, DA, as well as Opiate-->DA interations, induce specific behavioral effects, likely pertaining to motivation/reward, and motor activity.
But what role does Ach play in the opioid repertoire?
