Opioids Opinions On Codeine and Oxy (SEEKING CODEINE LOVERS)

Hey BL long time no see!!,
Just curious what everyone thinks about codeine. Now I am overall quiet naïve to opiates, however, I am naturally tolerant to most drugs and opiates are no exception, but, I do have a bit of a tolerance for codeine. It takes at the very least 80mg to feel active/any pain relief and atleast 200mg to get buzzing and if im lucky and do 300mg+ I can catch a nod. Now I have done a few random combos lately and come up with some interesting results. Now I have had abit of oxy lately in the form of endone 5mg IR tablets and well.... I was disappointed. I had started off lightly with 20mg and it did make me feel good but nothing special. So I cranked it up to 60mg and it was good but had more side effects (mainly itching) same thing happened with codeine until I got used to it so I just stuck it out. So after that I went back to just codeine for awhile and I just love the chilled out and happy euphoria it gives me. So my tolerance creeped up abit more and so I tried the 80mg of oxy again. WOW! it was nice. But I wasn't getting a nod and it wasn't that great. So then I pulled out the big guns and took 2x 40mg 12 hour time release (UNCRUSHABLE fucking things they are!!) and 3x 30mg oxynorms. And well I am pretty sure I was close to OD'ing. INTENSE itching, nausea and spewed twice and felt generally terrible. So after that incident I was slightly scared and decided to stay clear. And now ive had 10mg of IR oxy and 300mg of codeine. And this is what I have been looking for along. Nice chilled out, great glowing feeling and the occasional little nod comes along here and there. So why do I like codeine sooooo much more than oxy, or most other opiates for that matter and why cant I tolerate oxy well, or is that last dose of oxy a lot for even the experienced opiate user? The only thing that comes close is morphine and even then unless the morpine is IV then I don't consider it better than codeine. Am I the only person in the world who thinks this or are there other who love codeine as much as I do?

I might rank codeine above oxycodone when it comes to usage with other than analgesic reasons in mind too. For some reason oxycodone gives me this numb, empty and rather depressed feeling, but I don't think this is common. I haven't gotten the same with codeine. Increasing dosage won't take away the feeling but when you're scared you took so much you're going to stop breathing you will have other things to think about than that said empty and depressing feeling.

Opiates are an acquired taste as a rule, both as a class of drug and individually. Personally i find oxy much more enjoyable than codeine, and most people would agree, but I still like codeine (or I did before my tolerance got too high for it).

Although I'm really confused about your tolerance - you get a nice high, even a nod, from 300mg of codeine, but you can take 90mg of oxynorm and 80mg of XR oxycontin combined and still be standing (albeit nauseous - although the nausea isn't necessarily directly correlated to dose)? That seems really bizarre to me, by the time you can handle 90mg IR and 80mg XR and stay conscious, codeine should barely touch the sides.

Sorry - but I don't think you can claim to have a naturally high tolerance to 'most drugs including opiates' but need as little as 200mg to get 'buzzing' from Codeine? That's the equivalent to what, 20-30mg of Morphine? I'd expect most people would need 20-30mg of Morphine to get a fair buzz. And then to refer to 2x 40mg extended release formula's of Oxycodone as 'the big guns'... Honestly, that's so cringe-worthy, edging on completely laughable.

If you feel close to OD'ing and are vomiting multiple times then you obviously can't handle as much as you think you can. Do you think it's cool to take way much more than you can handle or something? Just take what you need to catch a buzz and enjoy it. If you can't handle it, stop taking it.

But for what it counts, the effects of Codeine/Morphine and Oxycodone are really quite different. Most people often find the former to be much more sedating, fuzzy and euphoric, whereas the latter tends to be described as more stimulating and buzzy. Obviously you'll find some who disagree with this but I feel that this tends to be general consensus. I'd rather have a smaller dose of Codeine/Morphine than Oxycodone, it's a more pleasurable experience IMO.
