OK... I know this might be a dumb question! Is opiates prescription pain killers? I never heard of them, except for here. I love pain killers; vicoden, lortab, hydrocodine!! Just curious about opiates. What are they like? For those that like to give people a hard time on here. GO AHEAD!! GIVE ME HARD TIME!! LOL I just never heard of them.

No worries Kramer-all of us opiate lovers start somewhere, right? Anyhow, opiates are a very loving and dear family to me-beginning w/ mild scripts like fiorinal, codeine, to other painkillers such as darvocet (phen.), vicoden (hydrocodone), percocet (oxycodone), Oxycontin (great) all the way to morphine and heroin (obviously not a script)...
Painkillers produce a warm relaxing feeling for some, and a speedy exhilirating feeling for others. If you like Vicoden, then chances are you will like most other opiates, since they are all related in some form in terms of the feeling or high produced from the drug.
I don't really know what you are asking, but yes, painkillers and opiates are prescription drugs, and if you can get your little paws on some Oxy, then you will be a happy man...

Thanks Tribulus!! Yeah that is pretty much what I was asking. LOL You answered my question anyway. I appreciate it!! Also to everyone, what are your favorite opiates?

Good question Kramer. Yeah, opiates are pain killers, but more specifically, opiates are any substance derived from the opium poppy, papaver somniferum, literally meaning "poppy of the iron sleep." Opiates range from heroin (diacetylmorphine), morphine, codeine, thebain, to oxy- and hydromorphone, oxy- and hydrocodone, codeine sulfate and phosphate, and just plane old opium. Pain killers are relatively easy to get, so most people experience opiates for the first time via pills. If you like those, you may also like opium or heroin. This isn't a guarantee though. I love derivatives of morphine and codeine--OxyContin's KICK ASS--and I like opium, but heroin was a big let down for me. Some people say opiates make them speedy, but physiologically, they're CNS depressants. I just get very tingly, warm, and euphoric when I'm on opiates. It's perhaps one of my favorite highs, coming in second to only K combined with coke. To answer your question about favorite opiates, I'll have to go with oxy- and hydromorphone followed by oxycodone.

Mmmm...Opiates...

Prescription drugs, opiates in particular, are my life.
I can honestly say that if you like Vicoden, then you will like <or love> the stronger opiates.
Starting with Codeine <Tylenol 3 for example> all the way up to Oxycodone and MS Contin: These opiates have generally the same effect. There are slight differences as far as strength, duration, onset, method of ingestion euphoria, and side effects. However, they are generally the same.
Keep in mind, though, that when you get to..oh somewhere around Oral Liquid Morphine and above, you're in a whole new world of enjoyment.
The effects are similar, but VASTLY different at the same time.
For example, today for breakfast I had Fruit Loops and 60mg of Oxycontin, nasal.
That took care of me for the majority of the day.
After work I came home, poured me a nice plastic cup full of Oramorph Blue Label Morphine.
I am STILL feeling the same general pain relieving properties that the Oxycontin delivered...but I'm in a WHOLE NEW world of euphoria...complete with slight visual distortions and a relaxation all it's own.
I know I just rambled a lot of useless jargon, but I'm obsessed with all things opiate.
Plus I wanted to brag about my liquid morphine.

In any case, experiment, be safe, and enjoy.

I just read the post. I am depressed now. I am home and bored. I'd even settle for codiene! ::Sigh:: Why is it everything I don't want is available and the stuff you would expect to be everywhere can't be found? Damned greedy people horde it all to themselves. I'm done bein' awake now, I think I'm goin' to try hittin' the sakk.
