opiates don't work without weed.

I've noticed that I've become dependant on the combination of cannabis and opiates to feel opiate effects properly. I wait until I feel the initial effects, then I take a toke and WHOOSSSHHH. I embark on a Nodyssey ;) but if I skip the weed, no rush. even at higher doses of many different opiates. I'm familiar with the speculated synergy between them but is it this synergistic for anyone else? who knows maybe it's cause I'm just a stoner.
 
That's very odd. I usually add weed into the mix to enhance my opiates, especially when I don't have enough money for a proper dose, but I am able to enjoy opiates without weed depending on the dose. Lately I've been chewing 120mg of oxy neo (OP's for americans I think) and enjoying with hash and a few beers. This is a pretty modest dose for me, especially with the sublingual roa, but with weed and a bit of alcohol I enjoy these even more than regular oxys and at half the price. That's just me though, I'll take a longer duration over a rush any day.

Anyways back to your query, I find that strange. Weed definitely is synergistic with opiates, but maybe you have more of a tolerance to opiates than you think. How are you administering your opiates and what types exactly are you using?
 
I hear ya man, mj intensifies the opiate body high like a mf for me. Very intense

Tho, i enjoy a heavy nod without anything else in my system.
 
Ya, really syergentic for me also. Wish would always be like aww, no damn weed with my opies..It totally brings something out of if( more of an opiate high not weed high) and gives me nods more than mixing benzo's with opiates(now all together is wonderful tho,lol).. This works even with Subs for me, a few hits of weed and I feel more opiated..knew someone on done' that said weed would bring back their done' glow from the morning.

heroin, insufflated. and I've ALWAYS smoked weed. it's a mainstay for me, so I may very wwell be partial to MJ. Like I said. I know the synergy is well documented but I couldn't find any DEFINITIVE literature on it. I was trying to pull a gauge on how many other people have this experience. there always seems to be the "I don't want anything contaminating my nod " attitude but I don't nod without weed. well unless I MEGADOSE.

I've actually heard that! about the'DONE. if I take a high dose of kratom, and smoke weed 28-32 hours later I'm in space.
 
I think, we were meant by some guiding force to find opium and cannabis. honestly... if PPT, and high grade flower were readily available, synthetic opiates would have competition xD
 
In the latter days of my heroin addiction my tolerance was through the roof. I would have to blast 1/2 gram shots just to get loaded. Obviously I couldn't always afford my beloved 1/2 gram blast, so I too would smoke herb to enhance the effects(especially the nod) after doing a smaller blast. I did find that after doing a small amount of dope, I couldn't nod anymore, until I would chief out, then bye bye!
 
The post opiate bong rips are an essential part of the process. Something feels missing without the cannabI
 
if ANYBODY can come across definitive literature explaining the synergy, I think I read SOMEWHERE that marijuana (THC) (CBN)causes some sort of modulation of delta and kappa opioid receptors.
 
I remember reading some publication that stated cannabinoids increased the analgesic effectiveness of opioids by some crazy amount like 16x. I'll try and dig it up.

It really helps bring out the best parts of the opiate experience while suppressing the negative parts (namely nausea) for me. The plant also helps conserve opiates and reduce your consumption of them as opiates+weed is always more healthy than opiates+more opiates. I do way too much real drugs when I can't smoke weed *sigh.
 
I can't handle opiates & weed......it once hit me like a ton of bricks, & I fell out of a recliner.......way too strong of a mixture, & that was with 10mgs of vicodin......yes, I'm a light weight
 
I usually won't smoke all day until I take whatever opioid/opiate then smoke a blunt when it hits me and then smoke a cig. Something about the 3 together is unreal.. And I hardly even smoke cigs but I won't use opiates without the other 2

YES! it ELIMINATES the nausea for me. and I'd honestly reccomend it to anyone , especially tolerant individuals. like you said adding pot to get higher HAS to be better than more opies. it's funny cause ANY drug with analgesic activity tends to be enhanced by cannabis, just,mostly opioidS. for example, I can't do poppy tea, or kratom without weed or I won't get high.
