I was thinking ... If one was to stop taking their meds for a while enough to allow themselves to withdrawal from it,and get to that point to where you'd do anything to get more , let the cravings get really bad, and than than take and dose. Wouldn't you get twice as high, ones tolerance would also lower during the process as well I would guess, and this method would also conserve your meds, btw, the meds are norcos and Percocet, not that it matters, has anyone tried this?

You'd probably get more high if you waited a considerable period of time. Twice as high and lowering your tolerance (drastically) however would be far fetched.

I don't know about using this method though especially for prescribed medication. You'd have to suffer in pain for longer than being under the effects of opioids.

In my opinion, yes... If i am addicted to dope, and I wait until full WD to do my next shot, that shot is WAY stronger than if i just maintained straight through.

Perception is relative.

Perceived effects would increase compared to what would have been experienced if you had stuck to your dosing regimen, that is for sure.

I think millions of addicts around the world do this every day, only not by choice :\

Actually I think it does matter what drug you are talking about, the dose in relation to your tolerance, how often you usually take you meds, and by what route of administration you take it (and probably the person too since we're all different). Different opioids are different in this regard. For example, when I was using IV heroin, if I waited until I was in full withdrawals to use it, I would feel more of a high from it (not twice as high though, tolerance doesn't go down that quickly IME) and more subjective relief. When I was taking just enough oral morphine to maintain, however, if I waited until I was in full withdrawals to take the next dose, my usual dose would have less effect on me and not be enough to fully alleviate my withdrawals. There are other threads where a number of people have reported the same thing happening to them, especially if they are using ER meds or opioids with longer half-lives. But it happens with short-acting IR drugs too.

I tried this method for a number of oral opioids and felt it was not helpful at all and just caused me to spend a lot of time in withdrawal. I think it's different with IV drugs.

Yeah, well that's something I never considered, thank you for your input, and yea I see what you are saying about actually needing more because your body is craving it and is lacking its usual dosage so I guess it might take a little more to catch up, maybe it's just the instant relief of pain of withdrawls
