Lately, my depression is eating me alive, and i tryed to cure it with speed, it brings me out to euphoria, but after a while i started to dislike the tweak buzz and wanted something that mellows me out.I never really tried opiates to the point where i nod out, and i have 200 bucks to spend on drugs, should i try opiates???Kush makes me a bit euphoric, but after some time i left burned out, paranoid and anxious, and too stoned to do something.

Opiates kill pain, both physical and mentally. In my opinion opiates are great for depression, better than SSRIs or SNRIs. The effects are better and they kick in immediately. Oxycodone and Hydrocodone work especially well, as they also stimulate. $200 bucks would get you 4 or 5 80mg OxyContin or a few grams of tar (if prices are the same as Arizona)

You don't wanna self medicate with opiates on my opinion lol. Overall you're gona be happier for a few hours of the day, but other than that you're gonna be angry, moody, and potentially broke and homeless. Imagine how your depression would be if that happenened. Is there something impaticular you're depressed about

If you take opiates to cure your depression, when you stop taking them, your depression will likely worsen. I've had some tough depression episodes when ceasing opiate use, even when I wasn't in withdrawals. Life just sucks when you've recently tasted opiates and you don't have anymore to use.

i never was depressed a day or minute even in my life UNTIL I TRIED OPIATES.

just something to think about. maybe someone who starts off as depressed before trying them wont find the post opiate depression as intense as i did, but i wouldnt know.

i have been off opiates since april 09 and then my sub maintenance since june 13, 2010 - STILL dont feel right.

they are more powerful than i had ever imagined. i only used for about 2 years (daily, more or less)8)

Yeah it's great, you'll feel like you where never depressed.....but when you stop, you'll feel worse, and knowing that you can numb the depression with opiates, your 200 will soon turn into more...

Good work on setting him on the addiction path...

Opiates work wonders for depression, and that's why it's going to be extremely easy for you to get hooked. If you're using them recreationally you only need to take them when you feel like getting high; whereas if you're using them to treat yourself for something you're going to be taking them once, twice, maybe 3 times a day.

If I were you I would try them only as a temporary thing if necessary, because opiates are just awesome, they're the bee's knees, and once you realise that you will NOT want to stop. Just look around this forum, every other thread is about someone addicted to an opiate. Space out your doses and be careful. Most importantly make an appointment with your doctor RIGHT NOW, this very minute, and get prescribed something. If you already are prescribed something, tell him/her it isn't working.

All the best :)
