Opiate Withdraws

I have been taking lots of pain meds to kill the pain for years without going longer than a week without something. So its been about 8 days now since my last methadone dose. Now im wondering when will i feel kinda normal again? Iv heard that this could last month's. Im not sure if i can last even a month like this. Its just a miserable existence. I hate feeling like this.

Methadone withdrawals last a very long time and can be pretty painful, which is the downside of MMT. How long were you on it for and what dose did you come off at? All that will play a large role in how long you'll be sick for but on average, expect it to last a couple months before you're back to 100%. For some people it takes even longer, those who have been on the program a while.

I dried out from 200mg/day methadone cold turkey... Got kicked out of a clinic for benzos... I had to go to medical detox for 9 days... was okay enough on day ten... didnt feel good for about half a year... Everyones different though. Keep your hopes up, it can only get better.

have you done a slow taper? (over how long from what dose to what dose did you start and ho long was the taper)? or did you cold turkey? (if so) how many mg's did you cold turkey from?
