i've been hooked on opiates for almost a year now today i have been complete sober. I'd do anything i could get my hands on from popping 6 to tab 10's to going down the middle with roxy's. I'm posting this so i could get some help on the best things to calm the withdrawl down. today i have took flexeril, xanax and gabepentin. is there anything else that could help me through these next 5-6 days ?

Hot baths, TV on the couch, hot tea, ginger candy or ginger ale for any nausea, etc. And the knowledge that withdrawal is a finite process.

Anything you can do to keep your mind off drugs, and how bad you feel. Download a buttload of TV series you want to catch up on, go to the library for some books, and try to escape into a world that isn't your own.

This is how I get through my withdrawal period usually. Benzos and pot don't hurt either.

immodium (loperamine) as w/d hurts my ass so badly. A beta blocker also helps quite a bit. I've heard of people using DXM in an attempt to avoid withdrawal. I also recommend some quality television.

Benzos in low doses, strong indica weed and keeping busy. As well as taking jogs or lifting weights, as those release endorphins. Opiate WD is really not that bad imo.

Im on hour 75 of opiate withdrawl myself, and yes I agree, benzos and exercise are best. However, make sure you dont overdo the benzos, as you probably know they are usually harder to come off.
Exercise is number one for me due to the natural endorphin release :) Also I find that dark chocolate helps a bit.
DXM might help a tad as well, and also diphenhydramine which can be bought over the counter from boots as 'Sleep Ease': it really does help sleep but dont take too much because its very psychoactive and can give you a nasty trip.
Good luck though bud, I wish you all the best :)
