Im a 5 year long opiate addict and im maintaining with pods at the moment. Prior to the pods I was a gimp for dihydrocodeine. I want out - of that im certain. Ive clocked in 3 weeks sober before but rather than the symptoms receeding they became more unbearable.
My plan of action is to taper down with bupe for a week or 2. Following this im going to get some clonidine if I have to hold a stick up in a <50's bingo club. Hopefully the clonidine attends to the chills and restless legs 2 symptoms which persist for weeks after I quit. The depression should be toasted with a little weed and perhaps some nigella sativa and ULD naltrexone.
Question I have is whether its normal to be withdrawing from a short acting opiate after the 2 week mark? Would depression anxiety chills cramps and restless legs be a fair indicator of PAWS or could it suggest an underlying problem?
Next thing is what pharms would be worth taking for the above. Im aware of nigella sativa (need a source for thymoquinone containing seeds or at least a means of identifying the right species) Low dose Naltrexone or Ultra low dose . When a studded bludgeon proves too aggressive the softly softly approach with dopamine agonists such as cocaine or amphetamines is an admirable solution.
Finally what could possibly be causing me to withdraw for weeks on end? Has anyone else been through the same thing and if so when/how did it end?

Certain mindsets, I am one of them, crave to the point of body pain & withdrawal for many months to a full year.

It does get better with time however. I don't have anything "advanced" or cite or say except that it may be related to "opioid induced hypergesia"
