Hello everyone. Not sure this is the right spot for this but it seemed best to me. Anyway...so I'm 10 days into a CT withdrawal from about 250-300 mg oxycodone habit. Certainly hasn't been fun but not as bad as it seems for some people fortunately. Went through most of the usual stuff, but worst was the insomnia for me personally. Went 5 straight days without any sleep. Starting night 7 I've been getting rest each night, about 5-6 hours, which is great! However I am having absolutely horrible and extremely vivid dreams. Like I wake up and for a few minutes think these things actually happened. Has anyone else experienced this? I've never made it this far without using, which I'm very proud of, but these dreams are killing my mental state. Does it settle down? Is my brain just in overdrive from being shut down for so long?
I could smoke some herb and stop dreaming, it has that effect for some reason with me, but I get random DOT 5 panel drug tests for work and that is not an option. Only drug I can get away with is synthetic opiates as the DOT panels don't currently test for these. Cautionary note however this will soon be changing as to comply with US law they will have to add the expanded opiate panel in the near future. I'm digressing but I've passed many a DOT 5 panel as soon as 3 hours after using. They don't test for the synthetics in case you ever wondered but soon will.
Back to the point though, does the dreaming calm down? I'm not worried about it making me go back to using, it's not like that. It's just disturbing, dark really intense dreams that I could do without. Anyone have experience with this and how long this continues? Pretty much everything has subsided at this point beyond occasional sneezing and moodiness, the occasional fever.
