This may be a dumb question but I've been thinking about it.
On a drug test do synthetic opiates come up the same as true opium products?
Thanks

Correct me if i'm wrong but I believe Methadone will not show up as an opiate and must be seprately tested for...

Opioids will show up the same as opiates, but there are exceptions, and some "synthetic opiates" will not test positive.. are you asking about any specifc drug?
FYI, the common opioids such as hydrocodne, oxycodone, and dilaudid will all test positive..

Ok now I am on methadone and thinking you are talking about methadone as it's the only common sythetic opiate I can think of. Anyway here in australia on the drugs test you have all the street drugs (except LSD) and then you have Heroin and Methadone at the bottom. So yes they test for it, and they can tell the difference between street opiates and synthetic methadone.

I recently saw the results for a drug test that a friend of mine has to take for probation, and they checked for opioids, propoxyphene, and methadone all seperately(as well as a host of others)
