i took 5 vikes and loved the feeling but felt like absolute shit the next day (puking my guts out)
is there any way to avoid the stomach discomfort that goes along with opium/opiates/vikes-- (hydrocodone in particular)
please give me suggestions that you think might help thankyou

hey- i don't have an answer, i just wanted to add to the question actually. i don't have that problem with other opiates that i have taken, just heroin. which happens to be, suprise, the drug i enjoy the most. the reason i had to stop using it wasn't because it was affecting my schoolwork or finances, but my health. i didn't mind throwing up once after i got high (yeah, duh, i was high and didn't give a fuck) but the next morning i would try to drink water and throw it up. even when i had nothing to throw up, i would dry heave. so i was throwing up on average 5-10 times a day which meant i could not keep food or water in my system. i would love to hear suggestions on how prevent or minimize throwing up after using heroin. phreex?
thanks.

the nausea may be caused by an allergy to opiates or you are doing too much for your level of tolerance.the key word there is "tolerance"!but most people who are not regular users(junkies) do sometimes end up sick."Emetrol" can be bought at most pharmacies and it works for most people, give it a try.

after a couple of times my puking has stopped completely.. and now even if i take like a month or two away from H it never comes back. only with real high doses.but then again thats a border betwen OD.

If you are swallowing your opiates, then definitely eat some (not too little but not too much) food with your pills.. This should help settle your stomach some what.
If you aren't doing your opiates orally then you pretty much just have to deal...

I have a similar problem, When I first started using oxy(snorted) about a month ago I never even got a hint of nausea but now if I snort even just 20mg(not even enough to make me buzz) I get really sick for about 1-2 hours! Any thoughts?

You could take less opioids at once... usually the nausea only kicks in at higher doses.
Like fairnymph said, don't do them on a completely empty stomach.
Also, there are various anti-nausea drugs which go well with opioids -- promethazine (Phenergan) is the most common. It's prescription only, but not too hard to find online if you look, I think. I can't personally attest to its effectiveness in reducing nausea, but that's what it's prescribed for. It does take care of opioid itching nicely.
Finally, you could try switching opioids. Hydrocodone (Vicodin) is the only opioid that has ever made me feel nauseous.
You might be just unfortunately prone to opioid nausea, however. :(

I have a question?
Why take a drug that makes you sick? You're body is TELLING you something.

When I run a race (OK, when I used to run races) I'd get nauseous as hell at the end. Should I have gona slow like a pussy so I didn't get sick?
When I have to something ballsy, like giving an important speech, I feel nervous and sick sometimes. Should I avoid doing these things?
Your body is dumb sometimes.

That has to be the most ass-backward logic I've heard. Just because your plugging little e roll beans makes you feel all happy and want to share your candy doesn't mean it's good for you.
Nausea is a side effect of using opiates. It happens to most users at first, though perhaps not to this degree. Next time try listening to the voices in your head, they are probably smarter than your body.

as someone said, you might have a slight alergic reaction (or your body just doesn't tolerate the stuff well). overtime, it'll go away if you're not allergic to it.
the other thinig is if you are takin upwards uo 5 viodins, depending upon the kind of vicodin 7.5/750mg apap, or 5/500mg apap. your body might not tolerate acitimimaphine well... that shit is really hard on your liver. you're not supposed t take more than 4grams in a day, and if you're taking it all at once that's what coulf be fucking your stomach up. you'd be surprised how many people come into a hopital who have OD'd on tyenol.

cold water extraction tp get rid of APAP
my guess is that it won't help with the nausea, but APAP isn't my friend and I have a duty against it. For more than 5 or so Vikes, get rid of the shit

When I had a little bout with a stomache flu, the doc prescribed me something called Compazine. I've had phenergan before, and IMHO Compazine blows it away. Anyway, if you can, just tell your doc that you've been real nausious recently, and I'm sure you'll get a script for it.

Not true. Nausea is a known side-effect of opiate use - this is why in some hospitals it's standard to give an anti-nausea drug with opiates. If you were "allergic" to opiates (by the true definition of the word)and took them, they would kill you or at least put you in hospital. The word "sensitive" is the word you are looking for. Just wanted to clear that up.

"Non-Nausea Pills?" Wow. I havent read bluelight for a few days and I can definately say that the number of idiotic posts has dramatically increased. As to the question of nausea from opiates as i have posted this time after time (USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION FOR GODS SAKES) during the beginnings of my oxycodone use I would get extremely nautious on any dosage over 20mg. The best OTC solution to this problem that I could find was the antihistimine ChlorPhemiramine Maeleate. I found this to be as effective if not more effective then benadryl but it made me a lot less drowsy, something I did not like when I was already drowsy from the opiates. You can find this most likely at your local drug store; I am unsure of any national name brands that contain this substance but here there are several generics.
