The reason you see people on methadone having dental problems is because they have let hygine fall to the wayside while indulging in addiction.
No hygine, rotting teeth.
There is also the fact that most people on methadone lean towards LOTS of sweets. If you eat lots of sweets, and have a pretty crappy history of cleaning your mouth, you are going to have rotting teeth.
By posting that methadone causes teeth to rot, you are playing into one of the oldest falsehoods around.
