Lately getting high on Roxi seems a bit boring to me. Not as enjoyable.. I can't quite pinpoint it.. Has anybody else been through this? I think I am gonna stop getting high all together and just keep it to saturday nights... Any input would be greatly appretiated... Thanks.

I think I'm currently going through that myself. I wouldn't call it boring, but its definetly a tolerance problem. I'm not nodding from my morphine anymore, no matter how hard I try. instead I just do enough to where I keep sweating, like profusely from the forehead. I've got a sweat towel in the car, in my room, and in the living room by my recliner because I'm constantly having to wipe my forehead, like seriously ever 3-5 mins.

but I cannot just stop taking them, or only taking them at a certain time I'll go through some major withdrawals and be in pain from my cancer/chemo.

Novelty can wear off anything, and would be independent from tolerance. If the novelty of the opiate buzz isn't there for you, you could do them till your eyes rolled back in your head, and other than feeling really fucked up, not feel any different in terms of frame of mind. Chasing that early feeling is obviously different, not sure which your describing. Like they've said, lots of ways to tweak your neuro chems besides opiates.

Yeah I agree it's most likely a tolerance thing and not that you're bored (do you ever truly get "bored" of sex? More likely it's the same routine over and over that makes it less exciting).

It took a year and a half of daily dilaudid use before it basically stopped getting me high. Now, the best feeling I have to look forward to is taking the meds when I'm having moderate withdrawals - the transformation is amazing, going from feeling like total shit to "normal" in 60 seconds.

But that's the best I can do these days. Despite popular belief, for some reason taking more does NOT work for me, so even on special occasions, I can't just double (or even triple) my dose and get high again - it just stopped working.

On the other hand, I recently was given a fentanyl patch and tried that for the first time (plugged it) and THAT gave me my beloved opiate high. I don't know why it worked, opiates is opiates is opiates, but for some reason it did.

Sadly, I have no access to fent - I'm "stuck" with dilaudid (I know, poor me), but the whole point is maybe even just another opiate would bring back the magic for you.

at first 20mg of oxy made me nod, then 40mg, then 80 mg nd now an 80 a day keeps me normal.. best feeling i get is a feeling of relaxation and calmness.. its definitely a tolerance issue.. if you can afford to double your dose go for it.. personally a $40 habbit a day is enough for me i can barely afford my oxy to prevent withdrawals let alone to get my head to nod.. if you got the funds go for it

folks, what she's talking about is not tolerance. she's talking about losing the magic. of course the OP could do more and get high, I think the person even said that. but what they're talking about is losing the magic. I was the one with the tolerance problem, well, mine seems to be a mixture of tolerance and losing the magic.

I lost the magic. Once I got to 120mg. a day, I couldnt get high even doubling the dose. But this was also when I woke up and realized I had a problem. So that could have played a factor? I would switch to ANYTHING other than opiates to get high. Does not take long to take over your life. And the withdrawals are the closing thing to hell on earth.

Never really had a nod, and don't really "chase" a high, I took opiates as they made me more productive feeling. being boring well yeah, it's not an actual spiritual experience or anything. Now if I could just control being sick without the damn things, I'd probably stop altogether myself

johnny oxy, I'm assuming you are talking about 120mg of oxy? thats really not that much, but I understand that price is a factor when it comes to oxycodone. shit is entirely too expensive for what it is.

bpayne, I would think since you've never really chased a high, or had a nod, that you could possibly have an easier time than most getting over the opiates. maybe just getting past the sick stage, I think you'd have it easier than most after that.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I have a steady supply of 30mg roxis. I started snorting roxis a couple times a week--after a while only iving would do but now a two months or so later, they have lost their magic even if I do a little more (60 or 90mg)... I just get the warm feeling and the nods... think its time to move on... give it a rest for a while or move onto bigger and better things hehe
