Opiate Detox Program and Cocaine Use

My buddy completed an 8 day opiate detox program, final day was about one week ago and he is off of all the meds they gave to treat symptoms, although he still feels not 100%. I took his clonadin patch off today. They also prescribed him Nuvigul to be taken once per day. He also received a narcan suspension shot before leaving the center.

I recall reading that cocaine use after rapid opiate detox can kill you.

I realize cocaine can kill you in the first place but will use of it to treat left over withdrawal symptoms cause serious harm or a good chance of death upon use?

He also took adderall this morning at 8am which is doubly stupid then started cocaine use at 3pm and has continued for 8hrs. Previously before any opiate use years ago he would go days awake on a bender but its been 8 months since using the substance.

Please advise what the risks are and should I take more serious drastic action to save his life. He reports not having any heart problems confirmed by doctors and right now he appears fine.

I am still very concerned.

Thanks for the help,

It sounds like your friend has already finished withdrawing from opiates, as he probably wouldn't want to do coke and adderall during WDs. Mixing adderall and coke is not a good idea regardless of whether he is in opiate WDs or not.
