Essay Open Your Mind to Death

Opening your mind to death can certainly lead to impulsive and risky behavior as well, but to live is to die and to not experience as much as you can in this world is to waste ones life.
I believe you are misunderstanding Heisman when he refers to "Open your mind to death". He's asking you to consider abortion, euthanasia, etc. as not evil things. He is asking you to not think that, without a cogent logical conclusion that life is superior to death, or at least consider the possibility that death may be preferable to life. From a Buddhist understanding that life is suffering, and considering death in a new light is important.

We live in a world of 8 billion people slowly destroying Planet Earth, and we still think the proliferation of human life is a good thing. Life, specifically human life, will leave Earth as a dead rock in space.
