Superhuman, or so we believe
Living life as if we're bullet proof
We push ourselves
Showing our might in our comic book world
We ignore the danger
Foolishly laughing in its face
Unknown to us
Our own urges are our kryptonite
With each bold leap, the pit grows wider
One of our own supermen fell
The kryptonite had weakened him
His tragic fall broke us free
Free from our comic book world
Dropping us into harsh reality
We are not immortal Highlanders
I am not Spider-Man
You are not Wonder Woman
He wasn't Quiksilver
His name was Ryan
Just like you and me
He had his flaws, virtues, ups and downs
Just like you and me
He had his good times and bad times
Just like you and me
He loved life, hated life, had friends, and had enemies
Just like you and me
He was only human
And just like you and me
His time wasn't supposed to come this soon
R.I.P. Quiksilver
May you light the way to Heaven for the rest of us to follow.

I am very sorry about your friend. I lost my bestest friend in the whole world and I know how you are feeling and just know that I am praying for you!! It is good that you are able to put your thoughts into these writings, my mind is too scattered, and to put it together like this is just wonderful and I'm sure Ryan would love it. take care and my deepest sympathy goes out to all that knew this person b/c I have read many beautiful writings and he was a loved person and left a special piece in the heart of all of those who he left behind.
mad luv
XOXOXOXOXOX

I feel for you.. My grandma recently passed and I am still feeling the pain from that.
Much love to you.. Very good writing.. if you need anything email or IM me.

I greatly appreciate this all, but I'm afraid you both got the wrong idea. I didn't know Quiksilver as well as many of the other Bluelighters here, so I feel like I have no right to mourn.
This poem is serves more as a memorial and tribute to our fallen comrade and an alarm to the those who go overboard with their drug use.
