Passing cars emit toxic fumes,
filling my senses with distaste.
I am reminded of a certain room
where an inocent men fell
in a life or death case.
In this room
the judge did not slam down his mallet,
no bailiff to escort the accused.
Instead... there was only one shattered heart,
who figured he had nothing to lose.
Now... the car turns at the next green light, speeding away.
The turn was not right.
He went the wrong way.
