Hey guys,
I have a friend who told me about his experience last week with etizolam and he has some concerns.
He ordered 250mg and it came in the mail Wednesday. He's done etizolam in pill form before and thought he had a good eye for eye balling. He now knows that was a stupid move but, anyways.. He dipped his finger in the bag just to try to get approximately 5mg dose, to get a little buzz, and licked his finger. He claims he did this on Wednesday night around 9pm, and the next thing he remembers is waking up Friday morning wondering why he isn't at work.
Over one day, his family claims he went to work at 6am the next morning, lost his job an hour into the shift, went to his methadone clinic for a new prescription, couldn't give a urine sample after waiting for 3 hours, continued the day to go to emerg for benzo overdose (where he apparently gave two samples of urine). He didn't get his 90mg dose of methadone that day obviously(which he did receive the night he dosed the etiz) and came to at 11am Friday morning as if nothing happened.
5 days later, he's yet to find any evidence of finishing off his bag of etizolam. He's come to the conclusion, after searching high and low for the remnants of the bag, that he must have ate the entire baggy. He thinks after doing the math through an approximate 8 hour half life, that 6 half lives would get his blood plasma levels of etizolam down to 4mg if he had taken all 250mg and that is equal to about 48h.
THE QUESTION he's asking is, should he be worried about any major withdrawal symptoms from benzodiazepine use from such a large dose of etizolam, or do you guys think he would be dead from mixing 250mg with regular dose of 90mg of methadone. He claims to be having headaches, and shakes, but he's not sure if that's from his slow taper off the methadone (5mg every two weeks).
I'll forward this thread to him and let him see your responses.
Thanks
