One Love ~ May 10th ~ Amazura Ballroom, Queens NY

Not to mention it only costs $21 dollars a ticket, its been some time since I've seen a party like this for under 30 bucks, I will be there.
 
Boston/DC trips-
I heard there is a bus/van that makes regular trips to and from NY from the cities I mentioned above. It's about half the price of a greyhound ticket (i know my friend got a one way ticket to DC for 15 bucks and one to boston for 20).
Only drawback is the operators do not speak English. The departure spot in nyc is in chinatown and i know it's in chinatown in boston too by the arch (?). I am just posting this because if someone else knows more about it, i want to know too.

I've been to the Amazura 4 times (for Synthetic Sadhus parties) and absolutely love it there. How come I hear nothing but horrible things about it for normal parties?

Every party I been to at this venue security rapes you worst then at Exit!! They are just as shady as security as the Key. Sell drugs from party kids they took it from. Don't give a damm about our safety!!
 
I don't know if synthetic parties have the same security, but I never seem to have a problem at amazura when they have goa parties here. Of course I've never been to a regular party at this venue, because i think it's a little small. the psytrance community is way smaller so you get lots of room for yourself, but i can't imagine how it would be if it was packed as tightly as some of the venues in nyc (like the tunnel for one nation).
The one thing that i do hate, even at the goa parties, is that they do not let you refill your water in the bathroom. ripoff. what if you were bringing some water to a friend that's overheating and you have no money? oh well....
 
My friend got kicked out of a party by amazura security for asking for a pen, when he asked them they said no you cant have a pen he said fuck me and almost got beaten up by them. One almost beat my friend up cause he was using a vicks inhaler, and they though it was a bullet. The last party i went to they robbed my friends for all his stogs outside when he took his pack out and laughed at him. This venue does suck cause of the security, but I still really wanna see the House O' Holics and it is pretty cheap.

It has a really good lineup!I been to this venue before.It is in a really bad area! Sucks ass,right!
Im thinking we should have a meetup on top of the stairs like when your going to the jungle room..
How about 12 & 2 ?
 
That room may not be open, the best place IMO would prolly be by the fish tank when you first walk in towards the side near the bathroom.
 
I agree that the top of the stairs might not work out; even if the room is open. Keep in mind that the area by the fishtank is often well-populated.
I good spot everytime I go is to the left of the DJ behind the banister. It's a little closer to the bar but never too many people. It's also my people's niche. ;)

well, it won't be hard to miss the ears, i think a better spot is on the first level directly after entering, yet just before the stairs for the second level, there's a platform there and is good for chillin.
