Hello people of Bluelight.
My names HelpingOut and for as long as I can remember Bluelight and Erowid have been answering just about every question about substances I have ever had. I figured I’ve got a pretty good mind for remembering what I read, a consistent interest in chemicals, and a willingness to share some of what I’ve learned; so, it seems like today was the right time to finally make an account.
I had seen a post by someone about struggling to discontinue their opioid use, they had some questions about using gabapentin and benzos to do so, and I thought that I had some pertinent experience that might help them to choose how to proceed.
I’m a person who enjoys reading of almost any genre. I love to watch films of any level of artistic mastery, whether an absolute garbage heap of wasted production money or a masterpiece of the silver screen, I’ll watch the high brow, the low brow, and every film between. That also applies to television shows, YouTube shorts, any sort of visual media really. I just like art.
That engagement with visual media traverses easily into the world of video games. My personal favorites are cooperative games you can play with a friend. I really liked the one with the little guys made of yarn, “little big planet?” But I also really enjoy watching a friend play a video game that’s got a great story, or an engaging visual environment. Video games come in at a hot third for me.
I wouldn’t mind meeting some other blue lighters though I probably wouldn’t do so in person. I’m a paranoiac. I could barely bring myself to make this account. I’m hoping I just become another user of the site, albeit a posting one.
As for the drugs I like, I have a fascination with all drugs. I think they do glorious and terrible things to the human mind. I have a deep respect for their capacity to completely transform an individual and I think because of that power prohibition and illegality of substances only serves to make them more enigmatic, more esconced, more hidden in plain sight. People looking to just change the way they feel end up using a drug they’re u familiar with and suddenly they have an entirely new brain chemistry and the person they were is just kind of gone. Spreading awareness about what substances are, what they do, and how they affect us allows people to make the most educated decisions regarding those critical choices. Because of this, I’m a staunch supporter of total legalization, education as harm reduction, and a proponent for the idea of accessible drugs.
I like drugs that come from safe and well regulated legal sources. Regulated drugs being a healthier option for human beings than illegally sourced drugs of unknown origins. Drugs fascinate me. It’s good to be around likeminded folk.
