If I know nothing else,
These three things,
I know.
One day I will die.
The only thing I know for sure is,
I am not sure what will happen,
That I can be sure of.
Perhaps in death I will come to know,
Everything I know and forever more,
But I don't really know.
Maybe a return to a blissful nothing,
The nothing from which I first came,
But nothing can be certain.
One day the universe will die.
Our notion of death seems peculiar,
Our science foresees our worlds death,
Yet our own death we deny.
The life that we now see flourish,
Faded to less than a memory of a life,
It is life no more.
It may be gone in less than an instant,
All that has ever and will ever be gone,
Gone too are the memories.
Today I am alive.
Right now I live, I breath, I am aware,
The only thing I definitely now know,
Is the moment of now,
Why do we feel this need to live?
Need seems futile in deaths presence,
What do we really need?
To love the world above all is bliss,
Love can give us instant reason to be,
We need to only to love.
