They say love is stronger than death, but the truth is it just hurts more.

Love is self-flagellation, a masochist's ladder. Love is standing in a tower made of ice, never knowing when the sun will rise. Nothing in this world inspires us more as it tears us to pieces, and the only word we can give to that is something so hopelessly twee and nondescript as love.

Death is what caterpillars do to become butterflies. Death is sleep without the nightmares. Like plunging into the morning surf it bites with cold teeth, but you're better for it once you become accustomed to death.

Sometimes we fear what we need to accept.

I like the comparison, especially the bit about the ice tower. Death is simple and plain, love can be made out to whatever our minds can hold and we could be dissapointed each time, but death we know more or less what to expect. I see some deep thoughts coming through here Raz!

such deep thought and introspective for little words but it comes through as a question that you don't want to answer... loved it !

I loved this, very gritty and existenitialist. I have a critique, though if you dont mind.. the same words starting and ending the stanzas do seem a bit distracting.. i feel you could pack more punch having only used these terms once.
