Facebook really shouldn't be considered "the internet" either... it's not even a good example of a website. For a social network it's "ok" but I don't like the direction it's taking....

Forums are easy to manage, there are sub-forums and threads in each sub-forum. You click, read, post, etc. It's basic and you'll get the hang of it in no time.
