And I am stuck out in the country with no car and feel like an 80yr old woman when I walk. I want to go to the ER but docs just look at my age and just think I am med seeking. I mean for real. If I wanted drugs I could go out on the street and get something far more potent then what they would ever give me at the ER! Uppity docs thinking they are some righteous Christ figures cuz they got the drug pad. Its like no mother fucker I fell down stairs a year ago and since then all I have to do is dry my leg and my back pops/sizzles and then I am down for a week in pain! EERRRRRR

Anyone know of a good remedy cuz I have been doing the heat packs, tigar balm, exercises, and Epsom salt baths. If it does get any work I think I will go in and just bite the bullit and god help some uppity doc that throws ultram at me....
 
my neck and back are pretty fucked too. cant sleep cause of it. its really starting to take a toll on me. perhaps ill see a chiro
 
lying on an inversion table (looks like a sea-saw) helped a lot with my back pain and my parents, i think it works by using gravity to elongate your spine, but yeah it works, could cost like 80$ or something though :\
 
well, what part of your back hurts? do you have good posture? what do you typically do every day activity wise? Are you lifting anything heavy? If it's muscular pain getting a massage, heat therapy, stretching, and light exercise should help. If its nerves/tendons, you will need to let them slowly heal without straining them for a very long time. Of course it could be something more serious if you noticed the pain come on suddenly if you were injured somehow. I had a mild lower back injury a few years ago and the doctor refused to prescribe me painkillers because he knew I was seeking them out, so I just had to use a heating pad and ride it out and not carry anything heavy for a long time. Try to not put a lot of pressure on your back if you can, like laying down is less stressful on your back than sitting, and be conscious of how you're sitting. Standing puts the most strain on your back of all, so if you stand at your job all day that could be why. A lot of people find that a good way to get rid of strained back muscles is to exercise and strengthen their core muscles, which are the muscles surrounding your torso, stomach, and abdominals. This takes some of the strain off your back.

Hope you feel better soon! Painkillers only mask the pain anyway, it won't get rid of the cause.
 
I am reluctant to give advice about serious health problems, but what about a lot of stretching? A light walk for 20-30 minutes to increase the heart rate and then some stretching... ?
 
As a person who has dealt with very chronic and debilitating back pain myself for over 3 years I will tell you that you need to see a doctor so that they can refer you to a specialist. They will order MRIs and Xrays and will be able to determine what is wrong with you and give you better care. Of you have a primary doctor then give them a call and make an appt. Even if you dont have insurance, you need to get this problem addressed. Chronic pain lead to a myriad of other problems like anxiety, moodiness, less sleep, and an overall drop in your quality of life.

look into rhodiola rosea and cordyceps sinensis. Both will do worlds for your pain.
 
My cure-all treatment I advise for a lot of ails is hot baths or hot showers, long and frequent. Make bathing a special time for you, a time of healing. I really do believe in baths. I would also suggest naproxen (Aleve). If you haven't tried it, it is worth a go. Of course, if you can get prescription pharmaceuticals, I'd recommend Soma and an opiate analgesic if you need it.
 
^ are you really recommending an opiate AND an anti-psychotic for back pain....nice harm reduction..
 
my neck pain i posted about earlier in this thread has stopped. now its my upper torso! like from my lower chest all the way up, shoulders, neck, chest. really painful at times and kinda scaring me.

i guess heat will help though. i turn my cars heated seats on and sit low to get my upper back and it works wonders.
