Anyone have any experience with omeprazole potentiating benzo's(clonazepam and temazepam to be specific)????

Preferrably potentiation of the anxiolitic effects, not just more sedation.....

....but any experienced input would be helpful.

Thanks,

jamesBrown

Im not aware of any potentiation effect with Omeprazole, other than maybe a decrease in an upset stomach. :0)

Cimetidine, another OTC antacid, potentiates certain benzos that are metabolized by CYP450 2d6 and/or 3a4 such as clonazepam or diazepam but not temazepam.

Omeprazole does not potentiate any drugs of abuse that I'm aware of.

Next time just try a drug interactions checker like the one found here because it will list any clinically significant interactions including increasing/decreasing a drug's effect.
