Watched a couple of docu's lately .
1/ Was a very informative Elvis doc featuring his bodyguards 'The memphis mafia ' telling all. Very eye opening! Everything started when Elvis was exposed to amphetamine [benzedrine?] to get to get to sleep I assume the 'downer's were barbs. This was way before the opoid probs.
2/ Was a WWII docu about a Brit pilot who crashed landed in the desert starting walking in the baking sun with his rations ,his water supply gone after 2 days he downed all the Benzedrine pilot were given back then and walked on for 2days! No water ,that is one strong minded guy and some strong as amphet.
He made to a road. Jolly good!
I think only US Airforce are given dexedrine now in the countries 'we know.
Also in punk -pre punk era -Brit speaking Mods and rockers etcs everyone was always hitting the 'pills' ,example in the movie Quadrophenia and of course vanishing point.
Are these pharma or brewed or US wish just truckers speed- ephedrine?
