I have been taking Olanzapine now for just about two years. I have to stop taking it from time to time to deal with various issues caused by my landlord or the government departments overseeing my sick benefits. (This occurs more than should be necessary for someone in my situation )
Unfortunately when I do this I have to stop abruptly as the matters are time sensitive and require immediate attention. Normally this isn't an issue for me as I rarely feel any kind of withdrawal from anything I've used except Nicotine. All of a sudden since having to do this again I am experiencing nasty and angry mood swings, I was wondering if the olanzapine is possibly causing this or if another issue is behind it.

Be careful with this stuff, I've been weaning down for about six months now and I think it would be nearly impossible to go cold turkey without losing your mind or committing suicide. Some people are more sensitive to the withdrawal than others but it is a very real thing. I even get hallucinations and schizo feelings from reducing my dose and I have never had psychosis. It is starting to improve but to answer your question, yes, withdrawal from olanzapine can cause severe mood swings among other things. If you need to stop, please taper this slowly. It can get rough.
