Bupe Ok, this is really weird.. What do you guys think? *READ*

So I have been on bupe maintenance for over a year now, usually I IV 4mg a day, well, I got sick of being on subs so I went to a pain doctor to get methadone. Now, the day before I went to the doctor for methadone I shot up 4mg of bupe, and the doctor told me he would not prescribe me methadone as long as there was any bupe in my system so I had to pee in a cup so he could test the levels.. Well guess what? The UA came back completely negative for bupe in my system, so I ended up getting my script for methadone..

How the hell is that possible? I shoot 4-8mg bupe EVERY DAY! (except the day I went into the pain doctor and got tested) and it came back negative for bupe!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN????? I've got 2 theories, either 1: the half life of IV bupe is extremely short, or 2: his test fucked up, but I also had benzos and THC in my urine so how did it find those and not the bupe???


And this has happened before! I would always shoot my bupe and I went to my suboxone dr. and he tested me and sent the urine to a lab to have it tested and it came back negative for bupe! and I had shot up bupe THAT SAME DAY!


WHAT'S GOING ON HERE???????
 
Most likely the test just fucked up but since you IV it, it could possibly speed the half life up, at least according to this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2994593/

" The terminal half-life ranges from three hours after intravenous administration to 28 to 37 hours after sublingual administration.10 It is unclear why there is such a difference in half life depending on the route of administration but this may be related to sequestring of buprenorphine in the oral mucosa. Most of the buprenorphine is eliminated in the feces, with approximately 10 to 30 percent excreted in urine"
 
Yeah I think the test could have fucked up too, but the fact that it found the THC and benzos, plus the fact that this has happened before with a LAB test... really weird...
