Ask your doctor to drop your dose if it is too much for 24 hours. Coming off it's pretty easy too if you have the right meds too. I wouldn't go through the potential pain of tapering, I'm coming off at 24mg and I'm ok really.
Its not a good idea for most people to just abruptly stop a medication like that tapering is usually nessesary for the average person cause dropping off huge doses like 16 or even 24 mgs can be very painful and cause it to be worse than it has to be along with defeating the purpose of suboxone as its meant to be easier to taper than heroin or short acting opiates most never feel any pain or discomfort until they get under 2 then the will for a while before getting accustomed to the low dose but this is partly due to it not lasting as long meaning small doses usually need to be redosed around 12 hours later or so.
Some people would rather do it quick I suppose like you but if you got time why not make it easier and reduce the suffering from a hellish painful drawn out experience to a minor drawn out mix of bad days where you may feel low on energy or depressed and good days where you feel better but all around with tapering it isn't nearly as bad as cold turkeying it. Suboxone is the easiest drug to taper with you feel no discomfort during the taper if there is its very mild and goes away quickly so why not taper and go from withdrawals that makes the average junkie want to die to some that are easily managed with medication and support.
Different strokes for different folks I suppose but how long have you gone after dropping off 24mgs? Was it 5 days? Cause at a dose that high your still gonna have large amounts of bupe in your system days later meaning real withdrawals don't start till 7 or so days later.
