I stumbled across this place and thought it was awesome at first glance. Oh well. It seems every newbie that asks a question gets their thread closed. In another thread someone asked about meth. Simple question. It wouldn't have killed anyone to just answer. So what if it's been covered in other threads. I guess this new guy or girl doesn't deserve the courtesy that others that originally posted the question got.
Is there another board like this that's less moderated? I really liked this place, but can't stand seeing mods wield unholy power.

slayer: the meth thread was closed due to the fact that it has been answered 8 million times, not just here, but erowid, etc....the fact you fail to realize is that someone pays for all the bandwidth this site eats, and it does not pay to have threads that have been answered over and over....
 
Well that makes sense I guess. My apologies for my tone. I can just see where people would be afraid to post anything at all. I fully understand that people should use a little common sense though. LOL, I'm coming off of meth too, so I've been a little hot tempered today.

And now this thread will be closed too - not because we are power-high animals who want to see newbies suffer, but because a general rule of most web forums (including this one) is that when a thread/post is closed or deleted, you do NOT make a post to the forum as to why, nor do you voice your opinions about it publically - you mail the moderator or admin of the forum and inquire - I checked my mail, you didn't mail me... FURTHERMORE, you used a vauge subject for your post ("oh well") - someone skimming the forum might have been tricked into reading your post.. you could have titled it "my closed thread", "the moderators abuse of power" or "guess they hate newbies here" - that way, I would have closed your post right away, rather then let it live this long while I tended to other posts...
It has nothing to do with not givin a brotha the same respecks I gave the original poster, it hasto do with a question that has been asked MANY times before, and answered MANY times before - in fact, it inspired MANY long threads that echoed the opinions and experiences of MANY - there is no reason for ANOTHER thread that deals with the same subject matter we were already flooded with previously - if you search the forums you will have your question answered..
