I won a state probation court case against experts (well kinda won, 5 days in, remaining 5 months closed out early,) over this argument

In case anyone wants to know the chem reasoning why cbd gets ya high under heat

Note: the USA govt knew i was right and no usagovt experts could beat me on this

Note: that last pic showing curved arrow notation from H (was used to denote hydrogen thermal rearrangement as i couldnt find orgchem notation indicating how that is shown)

Yeah, couple of parent articles were posted to pre-publication around three years ago, I’m unsure of their current peer review status.
As I recall created via a transient carbocation intermediate, achieved with good yields.
The original full text article should be viewable by scrolling down past the abstract.
If not let me know and I’ll post it

Mmmhmm that was the other way it couldve happened carbocationic i thought of that
But i didnt think since this isnt Sn reaction, its simply heat, w/o a catalyst the activation barrier would allow that carbocationic formation

But it was a 2nd possibly of formation youre right it was potential

but nowhere in chemtexts do they show carbon ions

so omitted it, as too many intermediate steps since its all happening at one time really via the shells, there are no real connected stick bonds here, its all energy shells and moving of atoms around that energy

but yeah bothways end same result cbd->thc9

they havent proven it one way another, thats MIT lab nitrogen vacuum stuff there imho i could be wrong on that quantum chems stuff there
