^sorry...but my bets are on Lemon this week!
OK...Jason
is very skilled, not to mention a seasoned veteran. And I intend no disrespect towards him or anyone else here. That said...
Let's give the underdogs a chance for once. I mean, when I got that flyer with the listings for when each dj was playing week-to-week, I could pretty much tell you who (politically) deserved to win each week. And if you've been around for a little bit, you could've too. I mean, they genuinely
deserve to win; they've put in mad blood, sweat, and tears for years. But I remember in high school, when "seniority" was the mainstay, certain individuals were given leeway simply because they were household, or in our case "seasoned industry types"; and the freshmen/sophomores, who may have been better, were swept aside and labeled young and inexperienced. Well, I can't speak for all of you out there in BL world, but for me high school outlook / fashion show ethics / popularity contest behaviour has far passed. So, if you're going to host a "DJ Battle", should'nt we let the djs actually battle before unsaid premonition plays a part on our collective psyche, creating bias and unjust favoritism? I dunno, maybe I'm just old fashioned or something, but these things should be handled in the purest way possible, or the integrity of the competition is compromised. No disrespect to the judges either, however I do believe it would've been more fair to the contestants if out-of-state judges were brought in. BTW these are my 2 cents. Feel free to add to the piggybank, but please don't berate me for my feelings.
Lots of luck to all contestants, big & small.
